Hubs went back to bed and I bundled up and brought in some wood. Replaced the wood in the wood cradle that was almost empty and have a few extra pieces for the stove. Temp has dropped to -6.I'd like to fill the JD but not at this temp.

Jan/Feb coldest months. It's not all that uncommon for FL to get below freezing, is it? I remember a lot of stories about the orange crop and them burning smudge pots or whatever.
You DO own a winter coat, right?
Good luck Gracie. We're rooting for ya! Stay off the damn roads if you get snow....people just don't know how to drive in it. Plus you end up with ICE and no salt on the roads. Go to the store NOW.

Nah, we don't use plastic.......white mesh screening especially for freezes.....and we make sure we water the plants in the warmest part of the day to prevent leaf burn.
