@AttyPops this too shall pass. I'm confident that you have it all under control despite hours of grumbling :thumb: At least you're proactive, my sibling not so much

Evening Snails :)

Paid January bills today...ouch...;) I did buy a lottery ticket to hopefully offset the outflow of cash in my accounts...

Pffft. If I was proactive, I'd have caught it BEFORE I had a problem.

Anyway, there's "good" news. It's sort-of "good" in that I now know what the cause was. I think. But I thought the computer would have not let it happen. Anyway, the DOME LIGHT was on for one of the "push button lights". I couldn't tell when I got out because they stay on for a while. I would have thought they went off no matter what, though, but maybe not. Maybe it's something else, who knows? But if that's it...that would explain everything. Because then it would have discharged the battery allowing it to freeze. (Like I say it's only 1.5 years old!)

So that's good news! Probably just a stupid-human-trick/error. If so, that means that, for example, I don't need a new alternator nor have to try and trace down an electrical problem. So "good". But OTOH, I no longer trust this battery. We'll see if the charger signals "bad bat" or not. It tests while it is charging. Probably going to have to find a way to get a new battery. But I'm thinking I might invest in one of these instead:

(Maybe not that specific model...IDK)
You can use em to charge phones and e-cig batts too. ;)

I wouldn't forget Snail friends for sure :thumb:

I've heard great things about those jump chargers. I don't own one personally, because it wouldn't help me much with mass transit. I've seen plenty of good YouTube videos recommending one version or another of those blocks. Most can fit in a glove box, too, it seems.

ETA: I do, however, own the smaller version for charging cell phones. It's very handy for long work days away from outlets. I've never had a problem with it (I think it's 3500 mAh), and it takes about 6 hours to charge from dead to full.

Double Edit LOL: It's 9000 mAh...

Wow, cold weather stories everywhere. Really cold here, too, but no stories. Just stayed in and let the world go by today. Maddy and I cuddled a lot.

Managed to make my CT scan appt. It's for the 16th, then I see the doctor right after. Love that I won't have to wait on results!!! :)

Good evening and goodnight Snails. Sleep well, sweet dreams and a better tomorrow for all :)

I'm sure there is some lower limit for all of us ;)

I'm pretty sure anything below 18 for me is just non-negotiable, LOL

No battery problems here as yet. Our car and pickup batteries are both almost 6 years old.
Hi Fran :) That's a good thing, because you've had plenty of other issues keeping you busy ;)

I misspoke earlier...it turns out sis did actually put a trouble light under the truck hood. I guess she listens to me occasionally, LOL :D I'm just glad I don't have to worry about her getting stranded again with a dead battery.
