Just finished a very quick catch-up back-read here from the 3rd.

Weather here... at LEAST flurries EVERY day since last Wednesday.
3" this past Friday. All I can think about is everything which needs
to be accomplished outside, but I'm NOT doing it in 40-degree
weather. If the lawn service calls about the aeration, I will have to
put them off until the raking is done. Once they do it, you cannot
rake because of all the dog-poo-like clods.

I also do not want to mow (like THAT'S happening any time soon)
until the raking is done.

The old non-starting lawn mower was taken into the shop. They
said the cylinders were badly scored, very low compression. I had
the option of having a used engine installed (about $275) or just
put the money toward a new one. So now, there is a brand new
mower waiting for its Maiden Voyage.

To avoid a long post... continued below...

Car goes in tomorrow morning for the steering shaft/linkage and
balljoint/control rod jobs. If the dealer remains true to form, I
won't see that car until sometime Friday afternoon. They ALWAYS
have to keep it overnight because they ALWAYS have to order
parts. I don't get it... I tell them WAY ahead of time what the
work will be and yet they still NEVER have the parts ready to go.
But... I never have to fork over more than $50+tax.

No news yet from Borla about the replacement exhaust system.
I sent copies of the all the receipts and some pictures (thanks to
"my shop" of over 30 years that does all my non-warranty work).
I will call Borla tomorrow for a status check.

I cracked the mast antenna during the Winter during a roof clearing.
Just ordered a new OEM (genuine Mopar) off eBay.

And... splitting up the Car Saga... continued below...

Last year, late August, I was trying to find a cat which showed up on
the FaceBook feed...

Snails - Response on Threads Part 8

It was on a one-lane dead-end street in the not-so-great part of town.

When I pulled into a driveway and then backed out, I hit one of those
large trash totes. It wedged under the spoiler and popped two of the
mounting screws (which go into pressed-in inserts). They were beyond
repair.

So, I ordered a new spoiler way back then.

It's been in the garage. I wanted to wait until Spring to replace the
damaged one... no sense in doing it before/during Winter.

Yesterday, I removed the old one and went to mount the new. I got two
screws in, but it was quite a job. VERY VERY tight going in... but I
managed. Did not snug them down just yet. Went to do the 3rd screw
and didn't it rip out and break off the insert?!?!... just like the damage
I was replacing! Went to attempt the 4th one and the same
damn thing happened!

I am almost certain that the screws were NOT the correct ones. They
are a bit wider and longer than the ones I took out.

I've had it for 7 months and have very little hope of any kind of warranty
or restitution (especially during an install), but I wrote to the seller and
made mention of the possible error in the screws. They're probably just
LAUGHING at me. But I'll still need to buy another one... or I can take it
to "my shop" and see if they can do anything to salvage the install.

Grrr.

What's next???... boils?... pestilence?... locusts???

Dang Bear, sorry for your misfortunes :(

Thank you! But, it's all "material" stuff, right?

Have a house, health (as far as I know), and someone who comes home
every night.

(But when stuff happens in clumps, like it has, I just HAVE TO vent.)

I hear you, I’d be the same way and then some.

Finally warming up some. Supposed to go to 70 tomorrow, and warmer on Friday, then cooler in the 50s for awhile.

Good evening and goodnight Snails. Sleep well, sweet dreams and a better tomorrow for all :)
    Good night Kat :)

We had 2 rounds of house rattling thunder boomers last night. I hope I can get some sleep tonight
Only way thunder is going to wake me is if it shakes the bed

Supper is done ... pan hasn’t been washed yet
