It's about where we Americans put our money, and how we shoot each other, and even ourselves in the foot, and bow to the Gods of Money and Oligarchy...rather than actually builds a great society. If we were to MAGA for real, we'd address social needs within a managed-capitalism economy.

Sell your house to the real estate people, sell your over-priced
life insurance back! Get a reverse mortgage! Capitalism's excess in action!
Whatever you do, don't cover society's healthcare needs with
insurance. Make people go under. Bad mouth insurance at every turn. Why should *I* have to pay for insurance for others???? (despite the fact that such is precisely how insurance works and spreads risks).
Why would medicare pay for anything that's needed? Ha! Can't have gubment mandate it at cost either...because gubment.

The whole thing is set up to funnel money out of the masses and into the big-corps and investor pockets. Just watch the commercials on TV. Reverse mortgage commercials (think about why people would need reverse mortgages in the first place. It depletes their assets and stops their children from inheriting anything. Because we don't even do proper cost-of-living increases for seniors. Then there's HC costs, pharma costs, inflation....) Sell your
life insurance commercials. A GOP that won't cover anything and WANTS people to go broke so others can buy up their assets, selling snake oil of "if you work, it's no problem" but in reality HC costs and pharma costs are a problem FOR EVERYONE even if they work. We have more working poor now than ever. Prosperity is DECLINING, and the Trump/GOP is making it worse in the long term. They aren't addressing the actual issues, and in fact they're going in 100% opposite direction of where they should be going. Not that the Dems are so much better, but at least they'd put single-payer HC in place and at least attempt to address some LTC issues.
The state of the VA homes is poor, and they don't even talk about non-VA nursing homes, but it's often terrible. In home care isn't even paid for.
Oh, and fix the damn roads too.
