    Good afternoon, Snails!

    Had a busy but good morning, and ready to relax now and finally get something to eat!
    @Katmar So good to read you're over the hump!

    The news (about 45 min to an hour ago) said that Wilmington was cut off, they're turning away FEMA...due to the flooding....who was trying to get in.

    Still, it wasn't as bad as it could have been. Some areas are starting to drain now (but IDK if that means they drain towards or away from Wilmington).

    Hope she's OK, Tibs.

    Good evening Snails. I had a really nice, relaxing, mostly pain free day. Marsha changed the bandage, and that went well. Tomorrow we attempt to wash my hair, what little I have right now :w00t:. My glasses now fit properly. Pain getting better and better :)

    Sat on the deck a good while and several times today.:thumb:

    Goodnight, sleep well, sweet dreams and a better tomorrow for all :):wub:

    the cape fear is not supposed to crest till tuesday/wednesday which is the one she's most worried about - less than a mile away - other rivers in nc won't crest till thursday :( and they expect further breaches in dams, coal ash lagoons and pig manure pits. anyhow, i hope she'll stay dry somehow. duke energy hasn't even started to assess damage to power lines in pender county .... sigh

    the same goes for me! :laugh: it's pouring down still and miss daisy is not cooperating ;)

    and no end in sight yet :?:

    * Through Monday evening.

    * Heavy rain from Florence may lead to flash flooding across the
    area, tonight into Monday. 3 to 6 inches of rain are expected,
    with locally higher amounts of 8 to 10 inches or more possible.
