No, it wasn't. Had to get a new number when switched to cable. But I've had it for YEARS!
i know plenty of people who ported their number from a landline company when they switched to cable albeit sometimes with quite a few hiccups The new company says it should go through. They were really nice, so hopefully looking at good customer service with them. I was unable to keep my original number, that I had for 25 years, when I went with cable. I was bummed. But, whatever will be, will be. Just looking to save some money with all of this.morning, atty, gracie and dale!

How many "bars" (signal strength) does the phone show while at home?Good morning to allMy stupid phone finally died a week or so ago and I ended up getting a dang smart phone from Tracfone,Got a good deal on a little older model (S-7) I think. Anyway dd set it all up,got all my air time and minutes tranferred from dumb phone and same phone number. Doesn't work at home but IDC. It works everywhere else.
Don't you just get a shot?@tiburonfirst ... This is what Wegmans does for VD...

See... we have no frowny emoticon for that.Bear,if you go to Tracfone's website as if to purchase a phone and put in my home zipcode....03456.....it will tell you their phones have no service in my zipcode.
We used tracfone for years and they used to work in our zip fine but no more. Not sure what service the old phone had but they must not use it anymore. It's ok with me.I have the landline at home. Not to mention I hate phones.See... we have no frowny emoticon for that.
What service did you use with the old phone?
Tracfone just "leases" signals from other carriers (ATTy, Verizon, etc.).
Necessary evil. I have two talkative cousins. Other than that, my phone calls are short and business-like (generallyWe used tracfone for years and they used to work in our zip fine but no more.
