Phone doesn't work (get phone through Comcast) when net is out, but have a low-end flip-phone for $20/mo for emergency use and it drives with us in the car for emergencies/tows.

Cable went off right around or shortly after Kat's "Hold on to your hats" post yesterday. lol
So been rabbit-earing it. And trying to explain everything to mom, who doesn't fully understand what's wrong, but I think gets the general idea. Ever since the house next door (2 story metal siding 30 feet away) was built, reception here sucks, and it may also be due to the digital conversion.
Was at least able to get local news. Had to watch the damn Oscars.

I don't think it does...not without disassembly. It's just a dumb phone. No data, no text (on the account)...couldn't even check the outages maps! But I could call 911 if I needed to and that's what it is there for.

Hope both Tibs and Bear are okay. Haven't heard from Tibs since this morning. We survived unharmed and safe. So grateful....and hope Tibs and Bear are the same.
