OK, Bear. Hi.

Did you get your info from the doc?
Nope. Not until 17apr19 ... still holtering ... next week will get wearable
BP monitor for 24 hours. Yesterday's reading @ cardiologist was 118 over
something with 87 pulse. VERY VERY typical to my lifelong history. But the
ultrasound stuff did not please him (except for the aorta distension which is
now a non-issue at 0.01cm growth since 2 years ago). Now, it's all about
"paroxysmal atrial fibrillation". aka "intermittent A-fib". And THAT THAT
THAT is WHY I was originally referred to him 6 or 7 YEARS ago. NOW it's
SUDDENLY back to the front burner. The more I think about it, the more
ticked I get. Which helps matters, I'm sure.

i'm trying to make 'quark' and i'm not overly optimistic!
Now you did it! Your mention of an off-the-wall cheesestuff has resumed
MY search for mizithra (or "myzithra") locally. NONE to be found. The old
source no longer carries it. I did find a place in Wisconsin at $17/lb plus
shipping. (And NO... no "suitable substitution" will work.)

It's a goat's milk cheese. You're gonna pay extra, unless you decide to raise goats....
So is feta... but I do not want that. I'll pay the price, but the shipping
is kind of inordinate. I also want to be SURE it's pretty fresh. Hard to do
online.

(Sheep or goat...) (Not raising sheep OR goats. Not in town code.)

Don't you have a local cheese shop? Or do you want to take a nice vacation in Wisconsin? :D (Take the boat across lake Michigan, boring trip, but you can say you've done it).
Yep, Crotchfester has a few shops, but the one place that had it about 10
years ago
no longer carries it. Giordano European Cheese Shop

And that ( Old Spaghetti Factory ) is what I want to make again here
at home. That restaurant has always been a "must do" when in Toronto...
for ME just for the dish with mizithra. Last time was in 2008 when husbear
and I went to see Tina. I did make it at home in '09 or '10... but not since
then. YOU and your "quark"!!! It's an insanely easy dish, but I won't use any
substitution.

:)

Of course, you can get there to buy cheese the car-way, and travel to Chicago, then go up the coast to Wisconsin. But...if you stop in MI, you can have TWO options, and take a cruse (with your car too).
https://www.lake-express.com/ From Muskegon Michigan ( :glare: ) to Milwaukee Wisconsin
Fast Trip, 2.5 hours modern ship, closer to you.

-or-

Ludington MI To Manitowoc WI SS Badger People & Car Ferry Luddington ( :) ) to Manitowoc ferry, older ship (I've been on this one) and slower (4 hours), and further North for you.

But it's cheaper to pay the shipping for the cheese. :D

seriously, bear - costco, at least in 2014, stocked the old spaghetti factory cheese:
Apr 24, 2014 - The first thing I want to mention is that you can now get The Old Spaghetti Factory Mizithra Cheese at Costco. You can check here to see if your ...
I can/will stop at Costco tomorrow after dropping off the holter. VERY
nearby as long as I'm in "that area".

(We have NO Alberstson or Kroger. It's all about Wegmans around here
[w/ Aldi, Price Rite, Price Chopper and Tops.. all icky-poo caca]).
