Morning, Gracie....sending good thoughts and wishes your way! :)

morning, gracie! sure hope all works out! (((hug)))
Oh dear, I should have worded my post differently!
I was involved in a project yesterday/last night that kept me up and then came to ECF and was reading all the new 'stuff'. Kept reading and reading until my eyes starting closing around 3am.......

My reference to my moniker is that 'flower' is in it......honestly, didn't even know 'flower' was a 'thing', well except for my babies out in the garden! ;)

All is well here, but thanks for your caring......

For a number of years now, I have visited YouTube on September 11 to (re-)view a few
videos of the events from 2001. A couple have been collections/compilations of the
South and North tower collapse. They're gone. Searches for others also turn up nothing.
There are a few one-off videos from news sources, but the "amateur" ones are (all?) gone.

There remain plenty of plane collision videos and other aspects.

I wonder if YouTube removed them purposely?... or what happened. It's kind of strange.

They still hold the memorial (and televise it). But they don't do the minute-by-minute TV news show replays either.

May have something to do with getting past it, and not feeding the hate-groups more fodder annually too. Or maybe it's just too traumatic to relive it each year.

Guessing.

As mentioned, still plenty of compilations of the actual strikes. It's a bit confusing.

Yes, it's an unpleasant remembrance. And I don't feel all that great viewing.

Just wanted to mention an observation.

Yeah, it's rough.

Someone on MSNBC this morning (a guest commentator) said something about "us New Yorkers remember 9/11" or whatever, and I bristled. I know he was trying to identify with being a NY guy and how that impacted him on 9/11. I get that. But the way he said it...seemed unintentionally exclusive. Because it was felt by Americans all the way to Alaska and Hawaii. Kind of like Pearl Harbor was.

So like I said, bristled. I mean, I thought to myself..."Who is this guy?" Not saying that NY people didn't/don't have a special-affinity for the towers and a shared sense of the city being attacked. And you outside the city, but in the state, too.

But it just all came off wrongly. To me.
Bristled. :/
