Yes, it's an unpleasant remembrance. And I don't feel all that great viewing.
Yeah, it's rough.
Someone on MSNBC this morning (a guest commentator) said something about "us New Yorkers remember 9/11" or whatever, and I bristled. I know he was trying to identify with being a NY guy and how that impacted him on 9/11. I get that. But the way he said it...seemed unintentionally exclusive. Because it was felt by Americans all the way to Alaska and Hawaii. Kind of like Pearl Harbor was.
So like I said, bristled. I mean, I thought to myself..."Who is this guy?" Not saying that NY people didn't/don't have a special-affinity for the towers and a shared
sense of the city being attacked. And you outside the city, but in the state, too.
But it just all came off wrongly. To me.
Bristled. :/
