Every time the car has warranty work, I get two months of Sirius.
I can hear somebody say "He's the only guy I know who complains about getting
something for free".
The 2 months then spawn a river of snail mail and eMail
with offers of continued service. And BOY are they persistent!!! I am not about
to pay for radio. I prefer to choose my own music.
I do listen to their Channel 54 (named after the legendary Studio 54 disco). But
you know what?... it's pretty much the SAME SONGS they were playing back in
2008, 2009, and 2010 when I got two free YEARS for buying the car. The same
stuff!!! It must be a tape loop still going around and around off some place in
the Midwest.

There's things like Sirius (meh) then there's the on-star thing. Now, that's actually a SERVICE that could be beneficial. GF had it in her car (IDK if she has it with the new one, probably does.) Of course, I think it's also spyware, but that's just my paranoia. I don't see her in some kind of high-speed chase where they shut down her car automatically or some damn thing. And on the flip side, it can "find stolen vehicles" too.
Oh... and a new commercial rant... the Nissan Rogue "All Around Protection" one.

What's playing?... "Dim All The Lights" by Donna Summer. Now, I like Donna.
Always have. In this particular song, we hear her croon "turn my brown body
white". It always puzzled me as to what that even meant. Until somebody gave
me a plausible explanation. ...
