Hi Fran and Gracie, we finally had a pretty day Fran. Nice temps too, high was around 52

The lakes haven't really even frozen over here. This is the end of January! You can normally drive cars on it now.

Sure there's thin ice, and some have fished...one person on the news fell through and was rescued.

And Lake Michigan is 5 inches above its all time high for this date, due to all the melting and runoff. Usually this time of year it goes down due to all the frozen precip that doesn't run back in. It's going UP. IDK what will happen long term, as there may be less flooding in the Spring then due to less runoff. So maybe it averages out. IDK
