Hi snails.![]()
RIP

I would be QUITE sure the cashiers are taking the brunt of the change and havepoor weggies!![]()
They should just go old-school, and switch back to paper bags.I would be QUITE sure the cashiers are taking the brunt of the change and have
heard/seen it all by now.
People are yacking about the filthy reusable bags (people bringing in cockroaches,
stinkbugs and ants), the 5c paper bag charge as a "tax" (Wegmans will donate that
money to a local food pantry charity), and the list goes on and on (and on and on
and still further on).
Yet... YET... nobody has really voiced concern over BJs, Costco, Sam's Club, Aldi,
PriceRite or Price Chopper that have NEVER even HAD bags. How do they deal with
that?!?!
Customers have the option to request paper bags. At 5c a pop. They should just go old-school, and switch back to paper bags.
I don't think they should charge 5c for em. So....Or... there will be "those customers" who complain that the cashiers are
not putting enough in their 5c paper bags as a ploy to extort excess 5c
charges for the food pantry.
and
... for those not getting it.The charge is state-mandated. Wegmans made the decision to collectI don't think they should charge 5c for em. So....
wholefoods paper bags have handles and are pretty sturdyMy memories of paper bags include them ripping and tearing. No really
easy way to carry more than 2 at a time
Bloomberg!?!?!?!?!?!The charge is state-mandated. Wegmans made the decision to collect
the nickel and then donate it. See how good they are?!

Ummmm...Oh for crap's sake, you're old enough to know better, having lived through it before.
