that's not the point from what i understand - i always keep an eye on rvers on fb and lots of them work while traveling but those who'd like to work for large businesses/corporations are usually out of luck because those insist on a wired connection
It can't tell the difference. It looks like an internet port to it.

It's more about speeds and feeds. At least 99.9% of the time.
To them, "wired connection" means "high speed" that's all. Misnomer.

lol. Not that satellite! The new internet is in the sky!

You can check this site (might take YOU a bit for it to load though)
Starlink
I see no "Order Now" link. Or estimated installation time.

no, not according to those people. it's a matter of security for these companies. i did not pay all that much attention because it doesn't concern me but seem to remember vpns and mobile data far less secure
VPNs should be properly encrypted, of course. I can see where they disallow using regular WiFi for security purposes. But that's a different thing than "cannot be done".

atty, nobody said 'cannot be done' people are reporting employers won't let them do work over mobile data networks. apparently, vpns over 4lte are not as secure as over a hardwired connection. so husbear first needs to find out if his employer would be ok with a mobile connection.
