    Good morning Dale.

Welcome to the continuing saga of "As the internet Churns"...so are the days of Bear's life.

    Bear, think.

Is this a free install or not?

If so, get primed up for TV and internet (screw the phones stuff right now).
One drop in the living room.
    One in each bedroom.
    And of course the office.

Check the maxes, in the agreement. Maybe max of 3 drops without extra charges or whatever.

Put a post-it-note where you want each drop. Let him pull the cable if you're at all open to it.

    Who cares?

Bear should have the better package anyway.

But bundle is probably the best way to go price wise, and the employer is only going to be paying for two months worth. And installation is probably free with the one-year contract. So they could work out a deal with the employer, or cost diff, for two months of "incentive" to get it installed.
    NO contract.

    Installation: $49.99

    Monthly cost $54.99

"Two months", huh? I hope you're RIGHT (cuz' the "too much time together" thing).

EACH TELEVISION requires a box, and there is a monthly extra charge per box.
I could research and tell you, but we're getting internet only.

I know they tried upselling hubs while he was setting things up and he was BEGINNING
to jet just a BIT ticked off. He had to define the word "only" a couple of times.

He tried to get them to drop the $5/month wi-fi extra, but no dice. We'll research
our own modem after the dust settles.

OK, so you're going to "cut the cord" (by installing a cord, that's how it works...lol)

    OK, fine.

    I use Roku. Like it.
There's several other services too, like Hulu and other TV services that will give you major networks too.
My ONLY concern is getting local channels. When we (all) were forced to go
digital a few years back... and we all HAD TO get special indoor antennas...
we experimented with it. Failed miserably. So... I foresee "something"
being put up in the garage rafters which is more powerful.

OR... and I do not know because ignorance... see if local stations have
streaming. I want my local news. In real time. My only requirement.

    It's the plan.

Then "go Roku" or whatever smart box HE deems best for our use. I wipe my
    hands of this.

    UGH.
just concentrate on the benefit! you can drop dsl and, hopefully, will no longer be irritated by those pitiful download speeds! ;)
