Going to my favorite chain restaurant tonight: Carrabba's Italian Grill. One of their winter specials is Short Rib Marsala: Tender bone-in short rib served over garlic mashed potatoes and topped with our Lombardo Marsala wine sauce. Served served with choice of a cup of soup or side salad.

That's what the Pepper's getting.

Carrabba's... 2nd runner up in the award for "Microportions USA".

The winner there being Macaroni Grill. A few years ago, SIX (count 'em,
6!!!) rigatoni strategically arranged on a gigantic plate. NOT manicotti...
RIGATONI, 6. I know the difference and I know what I ordered. At
$15.99. With sauce applied using a squeeze ketchup bottle. I actually
became ANGRY. Who the HELL do they think they are??? Some Michelin
4-star restaurant?

Carrabba's was not much better. FOUR (4!!!) ravioli on a LARGE dinner
plate. They come in second because I asked for the manager to come to
the table and it was removed from the check.

No, see... going to a restaurant does not mean lying back and just accepting
what they put in front of you. That's the job of a Canal Street ..... hooer.

Restaurants have become a really bad, BAD, sore spot with me.

This is ONE rigatoni:

I got SIX for $15.99.

THIS is One (1) ravioli...

Do you see up ^^^ there how one (1) ravioli is able to be presented as a MEAL???

No... see... that is just NOT right.

If I am forking over MONEY for a meal, I expect to be FED.

It can be somewhat substandard, but it cannot be insulting
or overrated at ANY price. $16 for SIX rigatoni? Not likely.
I will call them out until I'm six feet underground.

Same goes for the four Carrabba's rigatoni.
