Still seems to me that there could be people using co-ops for something other than items for their own personal use

very likely, catt! i used to combine orders in my earlier days when i was actively trying to convince people to switch. now, if i'd gotten the stuff through a co-op and passed them on at regular retail prices my personal purchases would have been more than covered.
