I hear you there. The cold just doesn't seem to bother them at all.

There is one bush (that loses all its leaves) where the birds congregate in the Winter... and I HATE that bush, but leave it be just FOR the birds. Every year... generation after generation of sparrows and bluejays and mourning doves return. The birds don't use it during the good weather. It provides NO protection... it's just bare branches. But there they are!!!

ETA:
And it's nowhere near the bath water or feeders.

(Baths) Yes... but if the water freezes, it expands and causes the bowl to crack. I've gone through many over the years. I have a copper one that goes out in the Winter with a heater, and I move 4 feeders nearby. Poor birds. I don't understand how their little bodies just don't freeze solid.
Could you just flip the bowl over? My grandparents used to do that with their birdbath for the winter. . . . .the birdbath would look like a mushroom for the winter :)

Those bowls are $29 (and up) to replace... if they even still exist. I have a couple mismatches.

I'll just bring them in! :)

Here
Cats are funny!

Now that's what I'd need for the mice, squirrels, and chipmunks around here running a muck. Unfortunately mom and boyfriend are allergic, and I sorta reside in two areas of the country so I wouldn't be able to care regularly for the animal. Also, outdoor cats do not fare well here due to the coyotes.

And what really gets my goat about those coyotes is them pooping in the middle of the driveway. They have boundless territory to do their business, and instead choose to drop a load right in the middle of the driveway. And this was a repeat occurrence. Luckily it wasn't a sloppy smelly mess, since it was composed of mostly berries, but still, the nerve.

Regular = 325 mg (probably due to historical reasons)
1/4 aspirin = 325/4 = 81.25 = 81 mg rounded

A-ha!!! Not HALF an aspirin (so we could easily split it ourselves), but a QUARTER.

It's ALL "convenience".

I shall now switch to HALF an aspirin a day. It'll be cheaper!!! Those QUARTER aspirins are NOT "quarter" the price of regulars.

Ooooo!!! Those corrupt :censored:bags!!!

Get rich off ME, will they?!?! Ha!
