Sly's Master Snuff Review Post:
5 Photo Himalaya - WOW. This snuff is
exotic, to say the least. First off, the rectangular tin is literally PACKED with snuff...50g packed so tightly is it almost a solid block, but it is easy to pinch from. Black in color, pretty moist, and a big nic hit. The flavor is very complex, very floral and musky, with a very slight hint of menthol.
Bernard Klostermischung - awaiting order
Conwood Peach Sweet Snuff - this stuff is growing on me. fine and dry american sweet scotch, with just a hint of peach. i wish there was more peach though...[edit: definitely snuffing this more often, subtle peach notes and very sweet...][edit 2: reminds me of Honey Bee, but this one hits a little harder]
de Kralingse(molen's) Chococreme - delicious! Very rich chocolate flavor, I like this better than the Dholakia swiss chocolate. Coarse grind, virginia tobacco, low-medium nicotine
de Kralingse(molen's) Chococreme-L - just like the original chococreme, but this one uses Latakia tobacco. The dark tobacco gives a bit richer chocolate flavor, I like this better than the virginia tobacco chococreme.
de Kralingse(molen's) Pepermunt - Same Latakia tobacco used in the chococreme-L, and a coarse grind. A very tasty snuff. This is NOT menthol, but rather peppermint, and there IS a difference!
Dholakia Limited Raspberry - whew...this one was one of my first menthol snuffs i tried, not knowing it was going to be menthol...i don't really get much raspberry from it, since the menthol is overpowering. I ended up mixing this 50/50 with dholakia swiss chocolate for a pleasing raspberry chocolate!
Dholakia Swiss Chocolate - what more can be said? it's like sniffing a packet of swiss miss cocoa mix!
Dholakia Temptation Lime and Lemony - a little disappointing. this is distinctly dholakia in its tobacco flavor, but the lemon/lime is almost like a dishwasher detergent. not my favorite citrus snuff.
Dholakia WOW Coffee Bite - very tasty coffee snuff, I will be mixing some of this with dholakia swiss chocolate for a nice mocha
Fribourg & Treyer Bordeaux - My first F&T snuff, and I'm glad I ordered it! On the moist side, with a medium grind, this is a very flower-y snuff. Scents of rose, sandalwood, a bit of citrus, and very perfume-y. Reminds me a bit of the Railroad Mills Maccoboy, but without the huge nicotine punch. I'm liking it so far!
F.U.B.A.R. Grunt Snuff - awaiting order
Hedges L260 - Fine grind, medium moisture, VERY-menthol. This is my sinus-clearing snuff, for sure! Reminds me a bit of the O&G. Powerful menthol hit and nic hit, which fades into a very tasty tobacco.
McCrystal's Apricot - one of my favorite fruity snuffs! definitely my favorite apricot. non-menthol, and a HUGE amount of apricot flavor. if you like apricot, i recommend this. [edit: still my favorite apricot

]
McCrystal's OG(original&genuine) - tasty with just a touch of menthol!
McCrystal's Raspberry - yum!
McCrystal's S'nuff - tasty and smooth. medium-high nic hit, very nice
Poschl Gawith Apricot - typical to poschl, this one has too much menthol for my tastes, and not enough apricot.
Poschl Gawith Cola - decent cola flavor, but the menthol detracts from the cola quite a bit. i prefer the toque coke.
Poschl Ozona Orange - this one took some getting used to, but it's become one of my favorite fruity menthol snuffs. the tin it comes in is cool, and different from any other dispensers. lots of orange flavor once you get past the menthol. like sniffing minty orange peels
Poschl Packard's Club - this is PACKED with flavor! unlike most of my poschl's, the menthol in this one doesn't mask the flavor. the dispenser is also very cool, it measures out a pinch for you!
Poschl President - i'm up and down when it comes to this one. the menthol definitely works wonders when i am stuffed up... the tin is handy because it has a mirrored surface that is great for checking your nose after a snuff
Poschl Red Bull - quite a bit of menthol, even more so than the president or the packards. nice though!
Poschl Replay Kentucky - awaiting order
Quit With Snuff Irish Coffee - tasty coffee, with just a touch of menthol. great morning snuff.
Rumney's Export Snuff - awaiting order
Samuel Gawith Raspberry - LOVE this stuff! only a hint of menthol, but an EXPLOSION of raspberry that is very long lasting! as others have mentioned, this does tend to clump up, but aside from that this is a GREAT snuff.
Swisher Dixie Sweet Snuff - awaiting order
Swisher Honey Bee - now my everyday travel snuff, fills my wooden snuffbox. a fantastic
sweeeet scotch. really is
sweet as honey
Swisher Railroad Mills Maccoboy - quite moist, very earthy in aroma with rose being the primary flavor. I detect a few citrus notes as well. pretty nice
Swisher Square - Finely ground, dry American scotch. Similar to Rooster, with almost as much smokiness. Definitely packs a good nicotine punch.
Swisher Strawberry Sweet Snuff - awaiting order
Swisher TOPS Sweet Snuff - another sweet scotch, others have compared it to 'smarties' candy. has a bit of a caramel/vanilla flavor to me. not bad, not my favorite
Toque Absinthe - distinctly toque, and a nice anise/aniseed flavor. nothing compares to the actual absinthe drink, but this sure comes close
Toque Apricot - flavorful apricot.
Toque Champagne - this stuff is tasty, very sweet and definitely has a champagne/wine flavor. unfortunately the flavor is vey short-lived. edit: this is a very soft and pillow-y snuff, i love to poke around with my finger in the tin, lol.
Toque Cheese and Bacon - LOL! I can't say enough about this one....bleu cheese and bacon...it sounds strange, but this IS a fantastic snuff.
Toque Coke - toque hit the nail on the head with this one...definitely tastes like coca cola to me. i like it
Toque Grapefruit - pretty good citrus snuff, like when you're cutting a grapefruit and get a shot of juice up your nose!
Toque Lime Toast - i love this stuff. a great toast by toque, a unique and pungent lime flavor. definitely a fan. [edit: i love this a lot actually, it definitely packs a toast kick, and has a wonderful lime flavor]
Toque Peppermint - This is a great snuff! Medium-dry moisture, medium nicotine, and a wonderful peppermint aroma. Very easy to take, unlike the Molen's pepermunt, which is a bit rough on the nose/drip. I recommend this to everyone! It's not a menthol, but rather it's peppermint. A lot of menthols, for me, tend to give me a runny nose at first, followed by a bit of stuffiness. This one is non-mentholated, so no problems!
Toque Pomegranate - tasty! wish i had more than a bullet...[edit: and now I do! I reordered a 25g tin. This is a fabulous all-day snuff. Floral and sweet, with a lot of flavor. A great non-menthol fruity snuff!]
Toque Raspberry - not as much raspberry flavor as i would like, but definitely a good snuff. similar to the pomegranate, and i wish i had more than just a bullet of this stuff..
Toque SP Extra - A delicious SP snuff, very bergamot in aroma, with some hints of lavender, citrus, and maybe even a wee bit of spearmint. Smooth to take, fine grind, medium moisture, and medium nicotine.
Toque Toast and Marmalade - tasty toast, and not very harsh like most toasts. try it!
Toque Whiskey and Honey - this is a great HDT by toque. pretty sweet due to the honey, but i can't really taste any whiskey
US Smokeless Tobacco's ROOSTER - holy smokes....literally! a SUPER smokey aroma, and definitely not a SWEET scotch. reminds me of sitting around a campfire! and the nicotine punch this has....really IS a punch in the nose! sniff carefully!
Wilsons of Sharrow Apricot - probably my second favorite apricot snuff. it's growing on me
Wilsons of Sharrow Brunswick - WOW! this stuff is great and full of flavor. its very coarse and moist, so it's not on my everyday rotation, but the flavor is out of this world. this stuff is also BLACK in color, and quite messy.
Wilsons of Sharrow Irish D High Toast No. 20 - Not as good as the 22, but still a good snuff. Coarser grind than the 22, and less smokey, but actually more of a lemony/flowery scent. Smooth to take, but still packs a good punch
Wilsons of Sharrow Irish High Toast No. 22 - a great toast. need more time to get used to it, but this has replaced the toque W&H as my favorite non-fruity toast. [edit: smokey and delicious, but packs a punch! snuff carefully...]
Wilsons of Sharrow Queens Extra Strong - I'm enjoying this one a lot. It's apparently a re-labeling of their original Tom Buck snuff. Fine grind, smooth to take, with a medium-high nic hit.
Wilsons of Sharrow Lemon Grove - loving it. Very smooth and easy to take lemon snuff, medium moist, medium nicotine. quite nice!
more to come!
