So I got my first Mr. Snuff order yesterday, all Scotches, 2 American and 3 English. I'll be spending a day with each, trying to figure out what I like and why. Today, it's "Dental Mild". Of the samples I received from one of the members, Toque XMas Pudding really stood out. I believe that clove is the dominant trait here, I like it, but maybe just a little less of it. When I go outside, it really comes alive, wow! Tomorrow, it will be with Honest.

Good luck BSD, and be sure to put up some reviews. What did you all get?

My sinus' have finally cleared up, so today I have a couple more reviews. I'm not sure how many more snuffs I have that I haven't reviewed yet, so I'm not sure how many more I'll be doing.

First up is Toque Pomegranate. When I first got this snuff, I was not very impressed. The flavor was extremely underwhelming, so the 50 gram tin I bought has been sitting in my snuff drawer for quite a while. In fact I was considering not even reviewing it. But it was in a bag with my Lime Toast, so I figured what the heck. When I first tried it again, I thought there was still something wrong with my sniffer. So of course I tried it again, and again.... several times. The same results every time. A strong nice fruity flavor that lasts at least 15 minutes. Easy to take by any method, but of course I pinched it. I would highly recommend this snuff now. I'm not sure what the difference between when I got it and now is, but I like it a lot now. Maybe sitting in a dark drawer in a zip lock helped the flavors? I don't know, but something worked. I was pleasantly surprised.

Next, one of my favorites. Toque Lime Toast. A silky fine grind, typical of toasts. Very soft between the fingers. Difficulty level is up there with regular toasts, so don't let the fruity description lull you into complacency with this one. Be careful! The first thing I get is a nice lime flavor, that lasts only for a few minutes. Followed by a very nice toast flavor that lasts about ten minutes. I pinch this one for maximum control. I highly recommend this one to anyone who likes toasts. A nice zip of lime in the beginning a great compliment to the toast flavor.

I will, but later, right now I'm dealing with a plumbing situation that just came up... sheesh! What next!?! Quick question. I've got some Toque XMAS PUDDING. I find that this one hardly gums up my nose at all. Is this indicative of the Toque brand?

I thought you just had plumbing problems. Is this related? All of the toques I've had are pretty fine ground but the Xmas pudding seems even finer to me.

This ones brand new. Wall behind the toilet was all spongy, after pulling the throne and busting some drywall, sure enough, soaked insulation, wet framing and mold. Problem is, I can't find the source of the leak, so it's probably a slow, small one nicely hidden away. I don't want to face it, but I may have to gut the whole room. Mercifully, it's only powder room size.

Yes, Toque!! I think I like this brand. I also like that clove taste and I really like the fine grind. Any other 'fine', clovey snuffs out there?

Bsd, the only ones that really gum me up are my Molens snuffs. But they are a rougher grind than anything else I have.

If you do get gummed up, don't be afraid to pick. And don't do it discreetly. If anyone complains, ask them if they would rather you smoked. And then flick you're boogers at them......:p

Then let me know how that works for you. I haven't tried it yet. I usually do it discreetly, or blow into the handkerchief I have been carrying around since I started snuffing.

I hope you get the plumbing issue worked out quick.

I've actually been using a moistened Q-Tip with excellent results!! This house was supposed to be a "fixer with good bones", but so far it's just been a money pit. I'm committed but not happy. Now, the reason I'm posting is that I've just received this The Posh Snuff Bullet - Silver [The Posh Snuff Bullet - Silver] - $18.95 Snuff Gear & More... I don't know about other "Bullets" but with these fine Scotches, it's the bees knees!! Ordered it from Snuff Gear yesterday morning and got it in this afternoons mail. Holy S**t!! I love this thing, so stealthy, and so solid. I've got her loaded up with Dental 'cause I'm drinking a peaty Scotch, and it's doing the trick! I also got some nice blue hanky's and a cool little spoon. They're in the wash as I write this. Kinda stiff right out of the box. Oh, and S.P. No.1 is wonderful, that and High Dry Toast. Must. Get. More.

I'm glad you're happy with the bullet BSD, they look nice. I know where you're coming from with the High Dry Toast, that's why I got a half a pound.

Half a pound!?! Now that's dedication!! I've tried almost 20 different kinds this week and there's no doubt about it, for me, the Scotches are the way to go. The drier and finer the better. I'm ordering some Swisher Square next.

How pronounced is the "Lime' aspect? Today's bullet is loaded up with "Dental Mild Scotch Snuff". Yesterday was mostly Honest. I feel that the Dental has a bit less of a bite, and yet it still packs a punch. How does Square compare to Dental? I find the difference to be night and day when comparing American and English snuffs. Not that I think one is better than the other, just different.

The lime is very nice and zest right at first, but it fades into the background after a few minutes and a nice toast flavor comes through.

I've never tried Dental. So I can't compare it to Square.

The biggest difference between Toasts and Scotches is how the tobacco is prepared. The American tobacco is fire/flu cured so you get the smoke flavor. The English tobacco is cured differently, so they get the toasted flavor. Which to me is not as much Smoke flavor. I still love both though....

    Somewhere between here and there
I forgot skrymr. Sorry. I took some cold medicine that has me being able to breathe thru my nose. I'm tempted to give it a go but probably shouldn't.

Hey Skrymr, am I wrong in assuming that snuff is as safe as snus, or thereabouts?
