The only problem with the thinking here is that CO is tasteless and odorless.
...and thank goodness for CO detectors 'cause of it.

It still is a great town. It was probably a lot smaller then (I don't know, am a relatively recent resident of less than two decades on this island) but is still fairly small. Small enough that I don't get any local work. I'm in Toronto now on my first snus equipped trip. They sure make a five hour flight pleasant! I previously carried nicorettes on flights but they only made a small dent in the discomfort. Snus made this trip pleasant, wow!
Glad to hear it!
Nanaimo was the first hometown I've seen listed here that was so unfamiliar to me (ETA: blame the American public schools for that) I had to GoogleMap it.
(Now I feel a bit shady.)
(Nice hedge you've got, by the way.)

No way ima try to read this entire thread, so ill just insert my 2 cents.

Theres no way in hell your NOT getting it. My very first puff off an e-cig of 28/mg/ml nicotine liquid resulted in an INSTANTANEOUS headrush identical to that I experienced when I first ever puffed off a cigarette when I was 12 or 13, minus the excessive coughing.

My brother, as well as my cousin, and several friends, have all reported the exact same thing, an instant nicotine headrush. Some smoked up to 2 packs a day, they still got one helluva headrush off the nicotine liquid at first, but it quickly goes away.

Damn, Nanaimos big city by comparison to its north island neighbors, I prolly shouldnt even bother to mention Qualicum, Parksville, and the Comox valley, the latter being where I dwell.... or worse... Cumberland.

Well... that was perhaps 1 cent worth, but that's as far as I'll go with that.

I would strongly suggest you read at least the first 20 or 25 pages. That presents the initial problem and then the solutions. Once you get up to Dvaps whole tobacco extract and guinea pig testing you should get a handle on the main idea.

At this point no one is questioning if people are getting nicotine out of e-liquid, it's other missing elements in the purified type nicotine that make it unsatisfactory for many of us. As current or former smokers we would all do well to try and understand what's going on. Dvaps blog is also a good read to get you up to speed.

Ditto!

I'll add that I wish I had known about this when I was at NanoVapor point in his vaping experience. I would be a lot further along now had I not suffered through demial and finally sought a solution.

NanoVapor, you may be one of the lucky ones and not experience what we have. I hope that you are right. I vaped for 8 months before I ran out of strength to fight my addiction. Snus has definately help me keep the cravings and smoking at bay.

This post and Dvaps blog are excellent resources that helped me FINALLY understand my addiction ...

I have been vaping for over 3 months and still cant stop smoking, right now I still smoke 3-5 analogs per day.....

It drove me crazy that I could sit at my computer all day hitting my 510 via a passthru(high nic) and still had the craving for an analog....

"I l had the itch that I couldn't scratch" I knew I was getting plenty of nicotine, but there was something missing...

Thanks again for all the research and hard work, this has been a great read...

Kinda hard to tell if it's a hedge or just OTD hunkered down for the call to attack :D.

That's a shame. You missed what it was about .

Stubby, maybe we should repost ^this^ every 5 pages?

I feel the same, a2d......but somebody had to be ginny pigs.....:|.
Comment on what you think of my Signature?

Is it too much, Not enough, or simply a bad idea?

I like it :).

that also has to be a big part of why the other nicotine delivery methods have such dismal quit rates as well... the missing addictive components. Finally got some juice ordered. Now to get some snus. That has to be better than patches.

DVap: I dunno what you're doing for a living now, but you could get seriously rich off this. We oughta look into getting grant funding to work on it and do some studies.

Away..
Welcome newcomers.

dataguru, the snus normally reduces the cravings greatly. You can vape with it, but you probably notice you vape less overall.
Their myopic view of "its all abt the nicotine" is so wrong. Sadly, they know it and never offered a resolution.

I received the FlavorAtrs flovoring the other day. Cant tell you anything. I lost all taste.
No cold or any other reason. Maybe a med change. I can smell just fine.
Very odd....3 days now. Not many things just kill taste alone with no symptoms.

I can smell you ok, Vaporer...:D. Strange. Med change is possible cause, maybe give the doc a call and see if it could be a side-effect. If your health is ok, I can't imagine why a loss of taste. Can you still taste salty or sweet, sour, any senses? Any possibility of an allergic reaction to something?

dataguru, the snus will put you back to normal, no doubt. My first Swedish snus was the General White and I really didn't care for it, but it sure did its job. I guess the traditional Swedish taste is peppery citrus with a lot of salt. Thankfully, they're starting to cater to more American?? tastes and there's a growing variety of really tasty Swedish snus to be had by us of a different taste. Don't hesitate to check-out and post in the Smokeless Tobacco sub-forum. V, how come I never see you there? OTD, a2d and I are waiting :).

You hit the nail right on the head dataguru. All smoking cessation protocols will fail for that very reason. The Doctors don't seem to have a clue as to why the success rate is so poor, either that or they do know and are afraid to publish it. Maybe they are thinking about the 5% of people who are successful due to the placebo effect. Even 5% is better than nothing. I hope they catch up to what is going on and a real successful method is developed.

Vaporer, I don't like the loss of taste. I hope you are able to put your hands on the problem soon. Kind of hard to live without that.

TV Happy birthday again. Do anything special today?
