I am soooooooooo frustrated. I have been vaping since the last week in December of 2010 and today I am so frustrated. My passthru went out after about a month and I got another one, that one barely worked so I got a replacement in the mail now that one is hardly working! I typically use these because I am at my computer constantly.

I am frustrated with my cartomizers and the stupid brunt taste I am cleaning them but to me they never work as well as a fresh one and sometimes taste funny to me. I am frustrated with filling my carts.

I am so sick of stuff not freaking working! I had the passthru for 4 days! This all is really weighing down on me and working my nerves. I am thinking why in the world are you putting yourself through this? All of this crap I feel like a mad scientist with syringes and batteries and all these little plastic bottles! Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. I don't want to smoke again I am just soooooooooooo sick of all this "work" to have an alternative!

Maybe I need something new or something! This is getting old already! Thanks for letting me vent.

What model PV are you using? I personally don't like cartos at all, right now using ego mega carts and atties.

I am using an 808. At this point I am getting tired of refilling stuff so much and popping the little white tops off and all of this stuff. My husband calls me a mad scientist. I know I sound like I am just complaining. I should be thankful I am not smoking anymore but these last few days have been very hard for me.

Thanks everyone for the kind words.

Pass throughs by and large are very cheaply made and just do not hold up. Since it seems you like the vaping experience of a pass through (5 volt), then I would suggest you get a good 5 volt PV or variable volt PV and a good bit of your frustration would disappear. You will still have to deal with the atomizer/cartomizers going south on you but we all have to deal with that.

But a better PV is worth the initial higher cost. For a 5 volt option, I would suggest the GLV2 from: Electronic Cigarettes and E-Liquid - Great Lakes Vapor . If you want to spend less but still get a good 5 volt PV, then try one of Ken's box mods: Box Mods .

Variable volt PV's give you the optimum in performance and flexibility. The two best on the market currently are the Darwin from nhaler.com and the ProVari. Ken also sells two VV PV's that you may want to consider.

Good Luck

I used a 510 PT for quite a while when I first started. I never had any problem with it. When I went to eGo's I quit using it since the 900 mah batt's lasted pretty much all day anyway, plus they're not tethered to anything. Since I got my first big batt mod life got even better. I drip at home, since I don't think carts are worth the effort, and use cartos when out'n'bout. Dripping really is easy and only takes about 5 seconds after you get used to it. Plus it's cheap since you aren't replacing cartos frequently. My LR attys last an average of around 2 months apiece and never start tasting bad like a stale carto does, and there's no need for syringes, tweezers, or any other miscellaneous paraphanalia.

That does make sense, and it's probably worth it in the long run. But they're so darn expensive!

When people ask me how the eCig is, I tell them it's awesome, only if you don't mind constantly having to do some sort of maintenance on them. If I'm not cleaning an atty, I'm refilling something, or poking something, or checking batteries, etc, etc, etc. I have an eGo-T and a 510, and I have a ton of bits (LR attys, cartos, etc). They all work great, but only if I stay on top of everything. It does look like I have a freaking chemistry set next to me right now, heh.

Basically what I'm saying is that I totally feel your pain. Stick with it, it's definitely better than the alternative, and hopefully in a few months we can both toss our PV's in the trash and be 100% smoke (any kind!) free. :)

Sorry for your frustration today !!!! That sucks! I've had my 5VT direct PT for almost 6 months and it died yesterday- well not totally dead, but not worth my frustration either to try to keep it working. Fortunately when I bought it almost 6 months ago I liked it so much I went back and bought two more since they were on sale for $10.00 a piece so I pulled a new one out last night and started using it. No real complaint here since I feel like I got more than my moneys worth out of my first PT and I never expected it to last forever.

One thing I've learned in 6 months of vaping is to not jump into purchases without giving them some thought and consideration to the future first AND looking back I can see how it REALLY isn't anymore expense to spend $100 on one PV then messing around with smaller purchases that end up costing more in the end anyways. Just hard to sometime come up with and actually spend that $100 all at one time but it can be well worth it in the end and actually save money in the long run.

Have you tried a couple different cartomizers? I know lots of people love their BOGE cartos but I tried them and I just didnt' like them. I love my Joye Cartos. Not saying you would, just using it as an example of the fact that different things work best for different people.

Take a deep breath and start a new day tomorrow. It WILL get better !

Also (not PT related), if you're frustrated with all of the supplies and mad scientist crap, if you don't have a little case for your stuff, definitely get one so that it's not lying around everywhere. This is mine, and it was $5 at WalMart

I take about 10-15 minutes each night before I go to bed to fill everything up, swap to a fresh battery, blow out my atty's that I'm using and get everything in order. On the weekends, I go through and IPA-bath clean the week's atty's and tanks. Then I put the big box of crap away and don't think about it unless I'm pulling out some juice for a refill.

Out of site out of mind, and it'll certainly make you feel less like a chemist and more like a person doing something great for their health! A couple of PV's and a bottle of juice on your desk is a LOT cleaner than a pack of butts, a lighter, and a smelly ashtray.
