The weird bit is I still want to vape. Start titrating flavor I guess. Mixing is even easier now that theres no nic to measure. Other than the weight gain, that is already spontaneously gone I noticed nothing. I cold Turkeyed off lucky strike straights many years ago and that was awful. This wasn’t, though it did take forever.

Great. I just saw a post about how nicotine is supposed to reduce weight.
Ehhhh. It only kind of does. It’s more like when you stop smoking you can gain weight. It’s often temporary. It’s also not a whole heckuva lot. vaping is unpopular with that set because it’s less weight than you can gain from consuming VG. There are people for whom 5lb is a disaster.

That's great. I think I'm going to try it and maybe I'll sleep better. I cut my nik in half 3 weeks ago and didn't really notice.

The way I did it was ignoring the guidelines below 6mg/ml, and going much slower. Iirc it was 5, 4, 3.5, 3, 2.5,2,1.75,1.5,1.25,1,0.75, 0.5,0.25,0. I’ll do the same with flavoring I guess. Most people who smoke 0/0 eventually just stop. Im at about 0/10 right now. I had trouble at 3. Also at 12. Nicotine is an anti anxiety, so at 12 I started taking a non-addictive one. Before I did that I wasn’t able to get below 12 without chain vaping. If I started doing that I’d stay at that level till I didn’t, then drop to the next lowest level.
I did it by liquid amout not time. I’d mix 100ml bottles, so if it wasn’t going well I’d mix another one at the same concentration. If the bottle lasted less than 3 days, I’d mix another of the same. There were a number of doubles and one triple. It wasn’t fast, but it’s worked so far. I’ve quit cold turkey though and it was MUCH less unpleasant.
I’m particularly leery of the 3 to 0 jump. That’s where a lot of people fail. I noticed the curve got sharper instead of more gradual. This evened it out a bit

I had a bad night Sat. and had to get some more nik, so I use the zero mostly and a few times a day I'll vape what I had (about 15%). I've had some bad anxiety for a few years now and don't want to have a setback. Thanks for the input, I think I need to go slow as well, or wind up in a rubber room.

lol. I remember seeing a photo once of a SWAT team going through some bizarre rigamorole involving a fishing rod to get a hostage taker some cigarettes. Nic fits are not funny.

One way to get infinite (well depending on your measuring equipment) granularity for titration for nic is to get a zero and a nic juice of the same flavor and mix em. Half and half 5% and 0% =2.5%
DIY is not required. It’s just cheaper.

Congratulations!
I doubt I'll drop vaping for as long as I can fire a mod lol. These days I'm pretty sure it's more about the hand to mouth habit than the nic itself.

Well that’s…interesting…
I’m chain vaping zero. Let’s see if that calms down with time. It has before. It does imply to me that even the tiny amount of nic I was last consuming mattered though. Maybe I’ll eventually go back up one. I don’t really want to though. I’ll give it a month…

Yeah... My last year's New Year's Resolution was to Lose 15 Pounds.

As of today, I only have 22 to go.

This bodes ill for me. My weight is way too high and it apparently is affecting my health. I’m going to start a YMCA regamin (I need a pool. Yes I am that fat) and they’re the cheapest gym in my area that has one. Remember kids, more chlorine smell means more (broken down) pee in the pool! Yay! :p

Just keep leaning on it. Nicotine is one of the most addictive drugs that exists. Failure will occur.. also watch your mood and the way you treat people.
I remember one person here who quit vaping actually posted that his wife handed him his vape gear and told him that if he tried to quit again she would divorce him. An anti-anxiety drug may be needed. It’s the thing that got me past 12mg/ml

My wife had a cough that wouldn't go away. Eventually she got a new doctor and discovered it was a side effect from a blood pressure med but before that she read something which led her to think it might be due to nic.

She was vaping 3mg juice. I made her some zero nic juice which she used for a couple of months. From day one her consumption went up dramatically and stayed there. Didn't help with the cough. She chain vaped all day. In the end she went back to 3mg and her consumption went back down immediately.

Some parts of the process of cutting down nic are easy and others just flat out aren't going to work. I went from 24 to 18 without noticing, so after a while I went from 18 to 12 and ended up back at 18 for a couple of years. Sometimes your brain sends you a clear message.

Ewww lol. Public pools are not much more than a public toilet/bathtub. I won't get in one anymore

They’re safe enough, generally. just don’t think too much about what’s in them. Me I gotta do hydro therapy. So not any option not to. :/
