I have an rba on the way, but in the meantime, I get to mess with cartos. I started with some XL smoketech's in my desired ohm cuz that is what I had. That didn't end well because they don't get saturated enough due to their size. So, I had some regular sized LR smoketech, and although I generally do not do LR I gave em a try. I am actually getting the same results - too many dry hits.

As for juice I have tried 80PG/20VG and 50/50. No noticeable difference there.

Any suggestions?

For awhile I was buying the XL Resurrector cartos. I did NOT pre-fill them. Just put them on and blind squonk listening for the juice to come up, it makes a gurgle. Then fire and vape. You do have to squonk more often at first. You see a cartos has the coil in the middle. You only need juice around that coil. I could see my filler in my clear cartos. It was not all wet. It took a couple days to see some juice making it's way to the outside of the filler. Perfect vapor and flavor.

Give it juice! It takes a little longer in the XL cartos when you squonk. By not doing a pre-fill you delay the filler swelling to a point where the cartos is too tight.

Thats very nice .... I love purple even though I am male .... guess we are not supposed to or something :D

BTW, did you order one of the big button covers for it ?? They make it twice as nice for just a couple bucks.

I did not look too much at the accessories but always something I can try later.

Thank you for the tips. It seems better now. It just seemed like I was squonking too much, but I guess not. :)

Wouldn't hurt to snag a spare spring when you order them, or get a shortstop for it.

Question on the shotstop. If I were to use one, would I need shorter batteries, like I would with a Kick?

Also, besides the wattage setting and the price of the Kick, what are the differences between the two?

Thanks :)

Nah, they're only about as thick as a dime.

The shortstop ONLY prevents shorts, it doesn't regulate the current, so it vapes just like without it.
Thanks :)

I've been using one for about 4 months now, and it's saved me a couple of times. I couldn't be happier with it.

i had a spring collapse using the shortstop so i only use these as they have been tested in my mods and work

Batteries : Vape Safe Mod Fuse 2

The vapesafe is mechanical, so has to be replaced whenever it trips, if I read the description right. My shortstop has tripped maybe 3-5 times, but it only disables the circuit, no damage at all to the spring or mod. You just have to let it "cool down" for about a minute.

That's scary that you melted a spring, is it possible you got a defective one?
