A little background, I'm mostly trying DIY so that I can try doing my own extractions of home roasted coffee and a few teas that aren't available in flavorings. I've read through the methods, and will start with the brief microwave in pg method for that.
As long as I was getting the ingredients for that I went ahead and got the flavorings for a few other things that I like, but since I don't like bakery or sweet flavors, those should be pretty basic. Earl Grey tea (I got two brands of flavoring plus some Bergamot and black tea to adjust with if I don't like the results from single flavoring), some Burley tobacco and menthol to try to come close to the one premixed tobacco flavor that I like, and a few fruit flavors in the hope that I'll like them with little or no sweetening. I'm also going to try an unsweetened mint black tea mix, since the one that I bought already mixed was cloyingly sweet to my taste.
To my way of thinking it makes the most sense to try the Earl Grey tea and a fruit flavor or two first, since that seems more straightforward than the coffee and tea extractions. In the meantime I can be trying to make my first extractions to mix after I get my feet at least a little bit damp.
I bought 48mg pg nicotine, and since I usually vape 18-24mg 70/30 pg/vg I'll be really close if I cut that in half with a 50/50 mix of plain pg and vg. I have the e-juice me up app on my laptop. I have syringes and droppers, gloves and eye protection, cleaned out bottles to put the mixed liquids into, a label maker, and will be getting my beakers from Amazon delivered tomorrow.
So, if I start by entering all of this in the app, start with a fairly low amount of flavoring and work up from that and stick to small amounts to start with, am I good to go?
Sampling will be a little bit of an issue since I don't have a dripper, but I figure that since I mostly use bottom coil clearos that I can just use a mini protank and live with the fact that I may waste a small amount of juice in the process if I need to dump it back out to adjust.
Oh, and yes, I did read the stickies and a lot of the threads here.
