Just ordered 3 new juice flavors from SmokeCignals, and a couple of new styles of clearomizers from ecigexpress. Looks like almost another month before I hit the break even point again.
So much for breaking even.

L.O.L. I know what you mean. For a while I was constantly buying more equipment and juices. But after a few months, I eventually settled into hardware I liked and a flavor that I liked, so expenses have gone way down. I've never figured it out, but I'll bet I've saved well over $1000 versus smoking in the year I've been vaping.
After 2 1/2 years without a cigarette (was at almost 3 packs a day). I promise you you will exceed "break even". Just a matter of time.
I stopped wondering about how much I saved, or even if I broke even. I enjoy it much more than smoking, I feel and smell better, no stale smoke smell in my house, car or clothes.
So I figure as long as I can keep all my bills paid I am ok.

I also broke even after 'bout 6 months... then I started DIY mixing. Now at ten months, I'm using BT's money!
I realized I would never "break even" after several months of vaping. I think I started vaping just before the explosion of new devices started to hit the market and almost every day I would see something I just had to have. As a former Farm Credit loan officer, I think in terms of "Wants, Needs, and Necessities". Well, the line between Needs and Wants has become very blurry....lol. I have a way of convincing myself that I just have to "test" this or that new item to see if it will enhance my vaping experience even though I'm very happy with the set up I have. The heck with Necessities....lol.
Doesn't matter to me if vaping costs more. I've found a way to enhance my health and a great new hobby. Just the fact that I don't smell like a walking ashtray makes all the money spent worth it. Call me crazy, but vaping has improved the quality of my life in so many ways I can never put a dollar value on it.

Yeah, I've also come to the conclusion I will never break even. But hey, I have fun and I don't wheeze anymore.

In the 23 days I have been free of cigarettes, I have saved just a little over $150 from buying cartons of analogs. But I have spent about $400 on vaping.
Most of that is simply buying various samples and finding the right equipment, but I am starting to finally settle down with what works for me and what flavors I like the best. So my costs will start to drop dramatically.
My reasons for going into ecigs was 99% because it could save me money. I am broke and going even-broker in a hurry, every dollar I spend is a dollar I can't afford. I had no obvious health issues with smoking cigs, plus I enjoyed them very much and still miss them (I always will, you just never forget). But like a lot of things in life (especially businesses), you gotten spend money to make (or in my case, save) money. And in the end I know this is infinitely better for me.
Plus I am starting to find out that vaping can be a lot of fun, so it is slowly taking over my need for analogs and replacing it with something else much better and more interesting.

I don't compare costs of smoking vs. vaping; what I care about is how much money the Greedy Bullies have NOT taken from me in taxes and Master Settlement payments. So far, after 18 months, over $1,200! Nyah-ha-ha!(Evil laugh).
Even all those bottles of juice that have been steeping forever aren't necessarily going to waste. Some of them will taste pretty good while you are waiting for another order to come in. Others can be used to dilute a juice that needs some toning down. Eventually, you will get use from them.
Hardware purchases can break a budget while you are searching for the perfect vape. If you chase every tube mod out there, you can spend BIG bucks! Reading all the reviews carefully can narrow down the ones that are popular.
I average about 50 bucks a month on juice and Boge cartos. One day, I will jump and buy a Provari, but I'm seeing competition from the Lavatube and others that might just drive down the price of the upper end variables, especially with all the entries we've seen in the last year.
