anyway i was complaining this morning that i miss my REO and my buddy says "really?" , "Are you really .....ing about vaping with a kayfun?" ... it was then i realized i have become a vape snob...lmao

Thanks REOville...

Sorry, I'm a prospective reonaught :) still mulling it over as I wait to accumulate the vape budget to support the purchase.

A question:
Aside from the obvious mechanics changing (drip vs squank), a reo is no different vapor wise than me dripping on say my 454 big block on my 4nine, right?

If so, I still use my kayfun. Sure, it's not often, and it's not as satisfying as a dripper, but when I'm out and about and don't want to fog the place out, I don't mind much stepping back to the kayfun. It makes my batteries last longer too XD
That said, I'm a firm believer in there is no one device that is right for everyone!

My brother in law just started vaping and used a clearomizer with an little ego battery until it broke. He asked me if I had a spare tank that he could use just until he can get paid and go buy another little clearomizer. Well I've given most all of my beginning equipment away, but I did have one ego twist and protank clone left and set him up with it. In the process of getting it going I had to vape on it.... oh my god I did not realize how far away a Reo with dripper is from a ego twist with a protank. I gradually jumped from one vaping technology to another until I ended up dripping with a mech mod, but hated how complicated it was getting when I found vape nirvana with the Reo.

I still can't believe I used that setup to quit smoking. Anyways I let him know as soon as he wants to upgrade to something nicer I'll hook him up. I need to keep an eye out for a busted up mini or something for him. No way is he going to pay $100+ for a Reo even a used one, but if I can get something for under $100 and get him to give me $50 I wouldn't mind donating the other $50 to help him get off analogs permanently.

I think I'm just still in shock how bad a protank in comparison to a Reo and he was impressed how much better the protank with a twist was better than his ego clearo.

I just set my sister up on an ego. She quit smoking years ago, but shes dating a smoker, which has fired up her cravings with some added help from extra life stress... Anyway, I pulled out one of my old egos to try and the vapor production was really anemic. I popped it on the charger and we went to the vape shop. I went to sample flavors... "Oh, my ego was working fine... It's me that's changed!" Lol it was a funny feeling.

Yes, Basically the Reo is a battery holder that drips from the bottom. People new to dripping and or new to rebuildables see the biggest difference between a Reo and their previous vape.

Hard core drippers like myself still see an amazing difference. I can now completely soak the coil and wick and have the excess drain back into the bottle. No flooding because I tried to put an extra drop or two in, no dry hits because I've made two green light in row. Just perfect fresh juice on my coil every time.

but wait, don't answer yet, Now include the fact that the Reo has excellent ergonomics, top quality execution, bullet proof simple design and stellar customer service, plus this great forum. what's not to love!

I used to be a paranoid vaper with a to go bag of supplies, now I'll go a business trip with just batteries, juice and 2 Reos. Still a bit paranoid so I need that 2nd Reo even though I've not had a single failure since I got my first Reo in October.

LMAO - now I got coffee all over my 'puter!
Seriously it works, exhale while taking a drink of coffee or even ice water. Subconsciously people's brain dismiss it as normal. Doesn't work with a massive lung filling cloud chaser hit, but I do it in restaurants all time with a normal "Stealth" hit held for seconds before exhale.

Lol at "made two green lights"
That makes sense though, always the right amount of juice, never flooded or dry.
Traveling I take two complete setups, juice and a charger. I've never needed more than that.

I carry a little baggie with about 6" of pre torched 28ga, a 16ga blunt tip, and some KGD..Just in case.. the REO itself is bullet proof so far.. you know i should probably throw a spring in there..

Oh and sorry to say I am a rebel and my REO is back at work..lol I will just make time to go outside to vape.

Forgot about rebuild supplies, yeah, I've got an altoids can with tweezers, prebuilt coils, cotton, and nail clippers for on the spot rebuilds!

I did the same when I had only one, once you get the 2nd Reo it becomes the backup, spare battery and extra juice all in one, with the benefit of offering variety.

Great point.. cant wait for the second setup.

Number 2 is coming in October.. I will be going with a mini this time with the Atomic.. use up those 18490 that are collecting dust.. put a 18650 and 18490 in the battery box and 2 reos.. damn i would call that insurance.

Please no one take this wrong. It's just the way I feel. If you use ReadyX and you change your battery and fill your bottle you don't need to carry anything. Just saying.

I agree! I have yet to have a ReadyX wick/coil fail on me when out and about. The only problem I ever had was once and awhile the screws would loosen but that's about it! Stuff is bulletproof just like the REO, a fine pairing. IMO of course! :)

I need to teach myself how to make a spaced coil over something like Silica or ReadyX.. I do like the bulletproof wick idea.. but how is the taste?

I learned to build my KFLs and Then RDAs by watching You Tube videos of building micro coils and feeding cotton threw them..

totally agree, but I had a regulated PV give up the ghost while camping. Wasting most of the day finding a B&M to get a new PV instead of enjoying a great Saturday embeds the need for backup.

For a day trip I think that would be fine, but I agree, anything longer needs extra gear. I can fit everything except the charger (i4) in a single pocket in my laptop bag.

I much prefer rXw to silica or ecowool. It adds no flavor so if you like that cotton taste you're SoL. I have few coils and wicks that are going on 3 months now.
