ok if you have seen my posting around im sure you have already heard my problems with the ego twist so i wont get into that again except to say ive had to shelve 2 more units due to the same problems. cant find all my tools and stuff right now since i just moved and dont have any workspaces set up yet so i'm kinda stuck and cant fix them right now and and tired of doing it anyway.

so im thinking i will break down and just get something new and im a bit undecided.
should i go with a SLB EGO V or with the Robust? i like the look of both....
they both are about the same size i think...
but
the robust i could change the battery out and keep trucking when the battery dies but needs adaptors to use ego threaded stuff like the t3 ect and i hear there could be minor air flow issues with some setups due to the flat top (just like several of my other mods...)
the slb ego v would take the ego threaded devices and nifty different thread covers which makes it perhaps more customizable for different looks but when the battery dies your out of luck unless your near a usb port and rembered to bring the cord.
and the ego v is a lower price point. enough so to make that a determining factor in the decision.
both go to 6v where the twist only hits 4.8 and i find sometimes on aged coils (i try to milk the most out of them lol mostly nova tanks these days) that ive been using for say a month (oh i should add most of the time i dont bother to clean or dry burn them much anymore cuz to me they just dont quite seem the same after plus im lazy :D) that i need to up the voltage to keep it performing the way i want and sometimes find my twist is maxed out but i still want more and have to throw the tank on one of my mods that goes higher. not sure the of the power limit on any of these but i imigane that is a factor here as well. i could just replace the heads / coils ect i guess but dw gets fussy when i keep wanting to buy more vape stuff im sure most of you know what i mean lol

so anybody want to put their 2 cents in and help me decide it would be appricated
ty in advance

I've got the SLB ego-v .. I love it .. I enjoy the size and the simple voltage change.. its really a great device. I wish the battery was a bit better, it will last me all day if I don't use it while I work. I get about 200 - 250 puffs until it dies, so keep that in mind.

Since I've gotten mine, my parents and in-laws have picked this up too..

I've never had any experience with the robust so I cant really compare it that

i should havd added i already have several 14500 batterys that would work for the robust and several ego chargers and cords that would work for the slb so those things arnt really a deciding factor.

and it was todays discount that put me in the 'i need a new one' frame of mind so if dw will give up the card when she gets home tonight i'll be ordering something.
thanks so far im kinda leaning twards the slb but im still kinda hung up an being able to change the batt when it dies while out and about but then again i usually have several devices with me all the time for when that happens already. but im down to 2 twists now which makes me uneasy when away from home cuz its not will it quit but when and i dont usually like to pack mods and extra stuff around. everyplace i go is a bit from home and usually i would have 3 or 4 twists with me and always cary 2 leaving the others in the car (cept when its way hot ect)...

no i dont drop them too often but but accidents do happen. my damaged twists havent ever been droped that i recall lol but the last one that broke i did have to tap on all the time before it died due to the bad wire connection. about half the time b4 it quit it would blink like it had or short or turn itself on and off and just generally act odd - a few taps on tail end on the table it would be ok for a while. same simptoms as the others ive had when the positive wire comes loose from the circuit board.
the gripper is cool but not really my perferred form factor as i am usually a lanyard wearing type and i alread have several box mods and my heavily loved altoids mod (but it only goes down to 4.2 which is a bit too high most of the time as i prefer the 1.8 ohm heads in my novas that i use on my twists)

Personally, I would get a 1300mah ego-V so it will last me all day and save the rest to eventually get an eVic or something like that with VW support. I don't own a Robust so can't really compare them. I have the 650mah ego-V and a 650mah Spinner. The ego-V voltage measures right where you set it at and charges much quicker it seems than the Spinner. The Spinner is not as accurate and takes longer to charge. But then there is the wow factor. The Robusts are nice looking units. So it would depend on your priorities which one you get.

thanks orbach but i think the 1300 would be bigger than i like for my lanyards as the 650 ego v is already the same size as my 1000 twist (i think) which is about the biggest i want to go. and while the vw stuff is neat and the evic has the computer hook up (i think thats the right mod lol) i really just dont need all those extra bells and whistles on my everyday gear. i dont change between resistances or tanks much so for me the less expensive vv options are more than enough.

Ok... let's stack up the advantages/disadvantages afaik

The eGo-V is a 650mah battery... the Robust uses 14500's that vary between 600mah - 700mah ... so almost a wash there

The Robust has a 2a current limit... the eGo-V has a 3a limit... eGo-V wins IF you vape at higher currents

To replace the battery for a Robust... runs around $5.50 to $6.50 ( more or less )... the eGo-V would require that you replace the whole unit... so the Robust wins on this front.

The eGo-V is narrower... could go either way depending on preference but the difference isn't a lot

It doesn't sound as if having color choices will make a difference to yo since you haven't mentioned it yet...

Myself... I'd go with the Robust because of the replacement battery costs and I only vape up to around 8w max...

i usually end up at 4ish volts with an 1.8 head in my nova. if i use the higher ohm heads then i would need more volts im sure.
not sure on the wattage i cant find that chart anywhere even though i know for sure i saved it several times on my puter here...

on colors i always get black and if that wears off i can repaint stuff lol

and im not sure what the current limit translates into max watts...
