I would like to have a fancy GG or Provari or something, but I have spent way too much on the hobby already.
The Indulgence will do for the time being.

I received my 701 > 510 adapter today, but unfortunately I cannot screw it flush with my G-tank, it gets way too tight, plus the SS drip tips i currently have don't fit snug enough, they wobble about.

If anyone has a good suggestion of snug fitting SS drip tips PM me.

i need a manual mod, wonder if i should buy the v2 indulgence or something else? I do have to say, for the sake of being on topic, that g-tank does look pretty nice on it.

Look at the threads on the adapter, toward the shoulder end and make sure there isn't any remnant from machining there. something small and pointy would clear it up if that is the problem

also look a the threads on the g-tank itself

Schoolboy error. It fits like a glove! This is where your true craftsmanship shines and my lack of experience becomes obvious. It is beautifully designed. Stepping away from making video games for the day, I checked the G-tank threads as you suggested and low and behold there was a slither of the black plastic from the 701 tip lurking under the outer most lip. So I brushed it out with a brass brush and the adapter glide on.

It looks really nice!
I added a new O-ring to my steel 510 drip tip and it all looks pretty sweet!!
Thanks Rat!
I'm having pretty good solid run now with the mesh and connector tweaks, but I am curious to try the ceramic route.

I got my G-Tank yesterday. I've been tinkering with it for a few hours, and I can't seem to get it to feed right. Lots of burning taste. I need to find my ruler, so I can cut it to 18mm.

For you guys who have success, is the wick perfectly flushed with the hole for the tank, or is it lose in there?

The juice should be feeding into the wick not the outside correct?

Thanks!

@Scubabatdan...Since you have received your G-Tank and you are one of the most experienced modders in this forum, also you have managed a few coop involving ss mesh and kanthal, would appreciate your valuable opinions and suggestions on ss mesh and kanthal configurations to get the best possible taste and vapor out of G-Tank.

I just received my G-Tank but has no experience whatsoever with ss mesh.....Thanks

P.S. This applies to anyone who owns G-Tank

poland, and the brassy lands of google
With mine I had trouble with the copper S-piece. It worked for awhile, then my bottom came off, it shifted maybe I don't know what. By the time I got in there, some added resistance created some heat and the vinyl tube and heatshrink had melted some and it wasn't making good contact no matter what I tried. I was getting 1 to 1.5 Ω just on the positive pin. My bad, I should have paid better attention.

So, without messing any original parts up, I replaced the S-piece and the positive post with an 16G needle. It goes right into the brass nub and fits snug in the threading of the PEET piece. It is bent like this:

and cut down to the right length on both ends. Now I can use a pin for the positive kanthal connection and get more wraps on there like this:

There is some tape in there and I put some heat shrink around the needle by the brass part just in case, but if done right it doesn't touch anything and the brass nub doesn't get away inside either.

Now I can enjoy this fine vaping machine :)

I've an idea for copper too, if anyone is having trouble.
