Will an Ego dual coil drip tip fit on the g-tank??
Only with an adapter I think. The thread is for a 701 tip, but an adapter is available to convert it to take a standard 510 drip tip at capitate.com![]()
Haha, and I was googling around for that capitate, thinking there was a new sourceI'm going to have to improvise something on my own I think.
I don't suppose anyone who has successfully used the silca rope as a wick instead of the mesh has any pictures of their setup or can take a picture of their setup? I would like to try this but my previous attempt failed because I couldn't get the rope through the hole to the tank. Since then Sturm said he uses the mesh to transport the liquid from the tank to the silca wick, but I am not quite sure how this would work.
A picture is a thousand words. 8)
I have a bunch of CE2 clearomizers, so I was hoping to use the rope from them.
I know if you drill out the 701 mouthpiece with the right drill bit (8mm I think, it's posted somewhere on here so you will want to double check that) a std. 510 drip tip will fit in and work just fine if you do now want to buy an adapter from vapor-age. You can also snap off flat part of the 701 mouthpiece and use a file to make the hole the right size too![]()

I have an Idea on that and will post it if I get a reliable method.

Set up my GTank with the clearomizer silca rope tonight.
I kept the wire coil on my last failed mesh attempt.
Cut the failed mesh wick into three smaller pieces. Tightly rolled the smaller pieces over the rope ends.
Threaded the rope through the coil.
Attached the coil to the neg and pos posts. Checked the ohms, 1.9.
Took the coil end mesh off and and pulled the rope through so it coils near the end of the rope.
Threaded the other end through the tank hole.
Filled tank with juice.
took Centre mesh off the rope.
looped the other end back, slightly poking back into the tank hole.
Fed the loop into the tank and started vaping.
So far so good. I'm interested in seeing how long the favor will last.
Very similar to what I was thinking except I continued the wire up the wick to help provide vertical support like this:

The wire/kanthal also helps to secure the 400 SS mesh to the top of the wick for easier insertion/removal so the SS does not get pulled off. Also it helps with the stability of vertical support so it does not fall over and stands straight like the SS mesh does.
Thoughts?

Sturm did a video with wick only he made it wet so it stood up on its own and the end was tapered to go through the hole, and it wasnt very long either just enough to go through the hole a little a 1/4 inch maybe
