Is there a benefit to leaving the O-ring out? I've been putting off refilling but I'm getting ready to try it.

By the way, did my first sales pitch today! I felt so guilty, like some kind of used car salesman. I was in a parking lot and there was this senior gentleman standing outside his car smoking. I walked up to him and asked him if he'd ever seen an e-cigarette and pulled mine out. We talked for a long time and he asked me to wait until his wife came out. She doesn't smoke and has been bugging him to stop. He smokes Cools and I happened to be smoking a Cool carto at the time so I showed him how everything worked. They were both very excited about it. I left all my cards at home - damn - but I wrote down V4Life and how to Google them. I do believe I made a convert. I can't tell you how many times I swore to them I didn't work for the company.

P.S. His wife was very grateful for the info. He just had pneumonia and they both really want the smoking to end. I was glad to help!

Good for you! Helping someone get off of those killer cigarettes is what this is all about!

The only advantage to removing the o-ring is that you don't need a tool to remove it when you want to "top off" the carto.

It's really an interesting journey for me, because truly the more I learn and experiment with this the more I love it. I don't know about other smokers, but previously every time I tried to quit I knew to the day when it was I had my last cigarette. Ask me right now - I have no clue! It had to have been sometime in the last month but I really have no idea. It just hasn't been important, and I haven't missed them -- at all. I've been resistant to refilling, but I have a feeling that once I start doing it a monster will have been created.

Hey there, I have been smoking since I was 16, so about 21 years. I have never really tried to quit other than when I was pregnant, but I do not count that time because the nausea and smell forced me into it before I even had to think about it. I guess the only reason I decided to quit the analogs was my health started to catch up with me. Nothing serious, just the out of breath sooner when I would try to do anything with my daughter. I also noticed that my cig addiction was running my life. All of a sudden I found myself planning my day and activities around my cig habit. I found myself not wanting to go to certain places that I knew I couldn't have a cig for 5 hours. I know it sounds crazy and bad, but I was addicted. I have been vaping for about 3 months, but I could not find a device that would help me totally kick the habit until a few weeks ago. I have been analog free for 17 days and doing great. I have fiddled around with so many products and have finally put everything down for V4L. Once I learned how to properly use the thing, I love it. I know now that I will not go back to analogs and I am so happy about that. I still do not get a lot of support from my family because they fear that these are not regulated. I do remind them that anything is better than the proven effects of analogs, and lets not forget the smell. I still vape pretty heavy, but I am lowering my nic level with my next order. In conclusion, the only thing that matters is that my daughter is happy that I quit, I feel better, and I can finally settle on 1 product and company for all of my needs (VPL).

I'm a 25-year smoker and although I have the standard smoker's detriments in general health and my house was stinky, I really just got tired of paying way more than my fair share in taxes and also tired of being treated less than a second-class citizen. More like a un-citizen when you think about it. However, having been vaping for a little over a week, I see there is an opportunity to outright quit nicotine if I so desire in the future. In the meantime I am saving tons of money, I'm not standing out in the street to do a power-smoke before break time is over. And I have just finished steam-cleaning my carpets and painting walls. House isn't stinky anymore....

Been lurking until yesterday, now I can't wait till I have permission to add a V4L signature to my posts!!!

I started snoking when I was 8. It was the 60's, what can I say. When I was 12, my mother gave me written permission to smoke and a carton of cigarettes for my birthday. WOW, no more sneaking around and BTW, cig's were 35 CENTS a pack.

Fast Forward 42 years, hundreds of attempts to quit and I am 50 with a 3 pack a day habit. I have a great Doctor who has always encourags me to stop smoking but never nagged. Every time he found a new alternative he would suggest it, I would try it, it wouldn't work. Dad has tried bribery, yelling, bla bla bla. We haven't talked much.

It alwas irritates me that I have been able to stay sober for 26 years but not get off the butts.

Money? I pay $50.00 per carton and buy 6 cartons a month. Hmm, wonder why I'm behind on my mortgage.

Anyway, I was trolling Google News a few weeks ago and saw the Judge's ruling about the FDA. It got me curious and I started researching.

I ordered my first starter kit from Volcano. The Mini batteries lasted about 45 minutes and I was using 6 or 7 medium carts a day. It was a pain to keep em charged and the vape was inconsistent. But I was smoking less than half a pack of analogs.

Found this forum, liked the idea of cartomizers and decided to try a different distributor. Glad I did. I got my V4L starter kit, extra batts and cartos. MUCH Happier. Down to 3 or 4 analogs every day. Just ordered some extra high juice and am hoping that will get me over the edge.

As for vaping so far, I feel better about myself and am optimistic that I will succeed where I have previously failed. My employer lets me vape at my cubicle (too cool) and so far 1 co-worker has placed an order. A few others are watching and waiting. With all of the extra batteries, I have been lending them out with new cartos so that the curious can take them home to try. I'm sure more will follow soon.

Finally, I can't wait to see my Doc again to show him what I have accomplished and how I did it.

OMG, I was only going to type a few lines... sorry.

V4L Rocks. Not only do they have great Customer Service and a great product, they have my undying gratitude and a good chunk of my last few paychecks. More orders to come.

PawPaw - And I thought I was a genius coming up with the condom dripping technique but it turns out I am coming along with the evolution of making e-cigarettes my new habit. I hope my post helped someone, I am unable to post any pictures or I would have been all over it. I am on day 7 of using the same cart and just adding a few drops here and there to keep it primed. Now I just have to make sure I don't get burned out on any particular flavor. I will be one month smoke free this Friday.

kunstkammer - I know how you feel about giving the pitch, I am in the Navy and get nothing but looks when I bust mine out. So far I have gotten 3 neighbors and 5 coworkers on V4L, the only bad thing is they don't feel like checking the forum for lessons learned and call me constantly for tips or questions.

Im 21 and ive been smokin for a little over ten years now. Ya tell me bout it. I had a heart attack about six months ago and cut back from 1 1/2 packs a day to 1/2 a pack and cut back on the drinkin. I met a lady who had a VK and I thought it was cool. I went to the hospital and was told I had three infections including my throat and lungs. I was also told I had pre cancerous white spots on my lungs. I decided to quite smokin and looked into VKs and decided to get one. There cool. Not quite the same but Ill get used to em eventually.

Im 26 and now have been smoke free for four months!!! I did an amateur mistake and placed an order for the blucig then decided to do research....after a week of poking around on this forum I settled on the vk and called and cancelled my order for the blucig. Three days after I placed my order I had my vk....I have been smoke free ever since..I finally threw away my 3/4 full pack of marlb Lts and havnt regretted a second of this choice..

New member here from Ft. Worth TX. Started vaping just after New Years and absolutely loving it!! I'm on day 6 of absolutely no analogs...had a few off/on prior to last Saturday night. Finally realized that I loved vaping more than the analogs. The various flavors are amazing. I'm down to 8 mg working on going to 4 mg. I've been lurking mostly but felt it was time to introduce myself. This forum has been extremely helpful.

Started smoking when I was very young. Money and health(which is good) motivated me to stop smoking. Recently married for the first time and want to live a long time with the love of my life. Only took me 46 years to meet him!

Friend at work showed me his e-cig, truth be told all i had heard of was the smoke assassin commercials on the bob and tom show. sounded like a BS scam and it is from all i have read. but he told me he was down to 3 or 4 analogs a day and he was a 2 pack a day man. i never thought i could quit, so i bought a kit local at a mall so if it was BS i could take it back for a refund without RMA's or crapola internet return policies or companies that sell a bunch of empty boxes or garbage products then go .... up and run away with all the money. well, the local mall shop kit tasted like nothing but sweet air, atty with a cheap plastic tip that lasted a day at best, but i will be damned if i didnt stop analogs that very day. i cant even think about a real one at this point, the stink, the burning eyes, everything about them other than the nicotine. i have turned 7 other people on to digitals in the last 10 days. thats a good feeling that friends and family are kicking the analog habit. and could not be happier with the v4l crew and products. i have my first kit as a backup and loan it to friends to try, and they have all ordered a v4l kit. thanks to you all on here for the help, advice, and fellowship...and thanks to all the good folks at v4l for a great line of products and great customer service

Splunge, we all get excited about this... we ARE the advertisement. I was just going around warbling woot! woot! the whole first week, in love with the product, in love with the people, in love with the whole shebang. I could write a SONNET it's so good. (Try me.) Anyone who's been down the patchgumcoldturkeywelbutrinchantixcrapcrapetc. trail of tears KNOWS what this product means.
I work hospice, my mom died of lung CA, and I just couldn't quit, insane. HATE cigarettes, hate hate hate, but there you have it. After vape #1 it was done. It's just no sweat. It's delicious and it works. And this gang is terrific.

My story is just beginning... I ordered my starter kit from V4L today, and can't wait to get it. I am married to a great non-smoking guy and he got it for me as a Valentine's Day gift. I have smoked since I was 15 (am now 31) and quit for 2 months last year, and started again....(stupid) I have a soon-to-be 3 year old little boy who is the love of my life, and he is definitely my motivation.
