ok an update, the new device is in Beta production right now ( waiting on a few parts ) it is 18mm ( .72 " )in diameter and 120mm ( 4,25 " ) long it is brushed stainless steel with chrome top and bottom caps , 510 top cap that is FLUSH !
it uses 2 x 16340 batts , and has a navigation switch to activate and change voltage as well as LOCK the unit so it will not activate, the display is a full color RGB led display the goes from green to teal to blue to purple to red to indicate the voltage, it will have a brass/SS button to control everything .

I have added one more safety feature a PTC fuse inline with the batts ( positive temp co-efficient fuse ) like are used in batts !
there is a LOW battery indicator ( flashing green led ) over voltage ind. and bad output ind.

It will be fairly low cost and is designed for ease of use with no guessing ,

It will be about 40 days to production on the new device , we want it out before Xmas,. we were delayed by a company that promised me they could make a switch for me and I wasted 3 months on them !!!

anyhow thats where we are at.

Pretty close 5c, the 510 top cap will be flush to the bottom of our tanks now :) I think the controller button will be a nice addition, especially with it's on/off setting. I like the color coded LED voltage thing. I know some of you in the past didn't like the external LED, but this one will be functional for more than just letting you know it's on. And YAY for a low battery warning!

It sounds magnificent. I like leds because when you don't get vapor at least you know the PV is working. The ones I have without it I have to pull out eithe the screw on meter but it doesn't always make a connection like all 510 threaded stuff. That means I have to pull out the volt/ohm meter to see if it's firing. The led is much simpler.
I figured they probably changed since that piv was done because that is an old pic.

I've been using a 900MAH Auto Ego part of the time and lovin it so this new one Mike has coming out will be a Rolls Royce compared to that. With the loger battery time and being able to swap out the batteries it's going to be great. Add to that the ability to control the power level with all the added safety features I can't wait untill this baby comes out.
