Do you have any regrets?

I know it is an odd question but I am a newbie who just got past my post count restriction and I would like to hear from experienced people.

No one in the world would regret quitting smoking although but if you took vaping as an avenue to quit, do you have any regrets that you now vape?

I assume many are addicted to vaping now? or at the very least, still addicted to nicotine?

Have any of you lowered your nicotine intake through time to get to 0?

Do you feel you must vape even if at 0 nicotine?

Are you a casual vaper that does it a couple of time a week just because you like the taste?

For a quick background, I have an addictive personality and REALLY want to quit smoking and feel that vaping will be the tool to help me achieve this. At the very least, I know it is a healthier solution than smoking. I one day hope to be dependent on nothing.......

Thanks,

troutspinner

I'm probably the wrong person to ask about 'regret'. I don't go there. I'd just return to smoking.

I have no intention of going to zero nicotine, I like it in my system. I have reduced the amount from 18 to 11mg though.

I vape as much as I smoked and I smoked 3 packs a day and taste is a major factor. I have 10 favorite flavors.

I've been vaping for over a year and a half now, no I havent lowered the nicotine still at 24 to 36 depending on my mood. No regrets I don't even miss smoking at all now. But giving on the first cig of the day and after meals took awhile to get out of my system. And now and again when I'm driving I have a weird thought of smoking, its like "wheres my cig" goes threw my head for a moment, then it passes. Smoking an driving just seems to go together, esp in traffic lol.

I wasn't even really trying to quit smoking. I saw the product and just thought it was such a great thing, to have my smokes with no smoke and less health risks.

I smoked for 45 years and never REALLY wanted to quit. I think that qualifies as addiction. I just PREFER the vaping and have never gone back since day 2. After 17 monthe I guess I am still an addict, I just like to choose my addiction. The chances are fairly good that if you are addicted to smoking you may be addicted to vaping. Just my opinion.

Lack of regret is too faint for the praise I give to vaping. It is the second greatest physical pleasure of my life.

But I didn't turn to e-cigs to quit smoking or reduce nicotine. I was/am just fascinated by it. And I still am "addicted" to that hand-to-mouth, inhale-exhale experience (and to nicotine). I just don't have any desire to give it up.

I have no regrets whatsoever after quitting cigarettes about 26 months ago (quite accidentally I might add, had no intention of quitting when I started vaping !) because if I hadn't discovered vaping, I would still be smoking and vaping is just soooo much better in every respect (taste, experience and in how I feel) !

Yes, I am still addicted but, as Don mentioned, it was always more about the hand to mouth action/inhale-exhale experience for me too. I have brought my nicotine strength down from 16mg in the beginning, 11mg after a couple of months, to now only using 6/8mg (depending on where I buy) and 0mg, and for me it was just as easy to do as quitting tobacco.

I figure that if I'm to be addicted, better to vaping than to burning tobacco !

Good luck with your decision Troutspinner !

Cheers,
Silver
