Social media links on EVERY post now?

Sheyna is correct about adblocker plus. If using Google chrome download the program. You will see a ABP red stop sign in the web address bar. Click on stop sign, click on create filter, right mouse click on "twitter" and good riddance to that fecal matter too!!!!! Now Chrome is my friend and this incessant annoyance of social media buttons has been flushed from my life. Happy Vapes all!!!

Yes Modrod. I wish IE had the add on capability too but I will be polishing the Chrome browser up from now on to hit ECF. Go ahead throw some more buttons our way. I am actually enjoying my new found power to bludgeon and kill those pesky buttons that have haunted me for months!!!!

Chrome is a good browser to. I use it on occasion when this place is exceptionally slow.

Ad block isn't working for me with these stupid things... they keep coming back with slightly different links embedded in them.

First off id say that this site is a huge money maker. Its more so about that then anything if u want to be frank about it. Its hard not to cross the line from what the buyer wants, vs what the seller wants to make.

I for one like a contest, and or giveaway. Maybe we should just deal with it. My Provari is puffing so well with my Arry act4 that I cant see the screen. Its overwhelming. I have ECF to thank for that and all of you. Not much to sweat about really.

Supporting members should not have to 'filter' or 'block' IMO. My pages already load slow enough on the satellite internet (I may have whined about that once or twice!!! ) and now its frakkin' ridiculous. I hope they see the light soon...:

Question regarding using adblocker or widget blocker - that will only block them for me?

The buttons will still remain on my posts and PMs for others to use if they choose not to block them?

I still see the buttons on those of you who have successfully blocked them for yourself, so it seems your posts are still available for others to click the buttons at will. No likey.

I'm just glad they did it before my cc rolled over after becomming a vet. I don't think of reconfguring my computer or changing browsers as options. What's sad is newcommers won't know the difference but a lot of the more experienced members with marginal connections won't be posting as much to help them. Seems counter productive to me but it's been free and is what it is so I have no reason to complain. It's my choice whether to log in or find some more productive way to spend my time. Right now the pages are loading at about half the speed of smell.

When I saw this, the first thing I did was create AdBlock filters.

I really hate this stuff, and it's an insult. The webmaster is basically saying, "the people who use this site are too stupid to figure out how to share a post on a social site, so we'll make it easy." Even though it clutters up an an already very cluttered site.

Heh... adblockers are ruining the income on every single "free" website, and because certain websites pull stuff like these, its the most downloaded plugin on any browser worldwide.

I wouldn't object to social media plugins, if they actually had a purpose. But having them on every single post, where the content is interesting ONLY to certain people, is pretty useless. One post, out of couple of thousands of posts will MAYBE get shared, and having those thingies on every post, just to save the trouble of a copy paste, is a nuisance.

The whole website has an extremely low share count as is, with a reason. I have zero need to share someone elses post about vaping with my friends and family as it is not the topic that is generally interesting to anyone other than the vapers.

If ECF wants to be present on social networks, then fb/g+/twitter account will serve you guys MUCH better than these pointless thingies.
