I transitioned from smoking to vaping pretty much instantaneously, haven't had a cig since I got my first PV, and haven't missed it. Pretty much all my friends were smokers. I say "were" because, since I started vaping around them, MOST of them tried my PV and ended up switching themselves! In most of the social situations like the OP described, my PV ended up getting passed around for everyone to try, and before I knew it everyone was asking me where to get a good deal on a PV, where to get flavors, what the deal was with tanks, and so on.

I enjoy vapor even more than smoking when having a few drinks and hanging out with friends. I feel so much better the next morning as well.

That is when I knew I could do this whole vape thing. My wife still smokes, they are around me at the ready all the time. Only on a few occasions did I feel like lighting one up, but still haven't. I had my vamo v3 out to a kids birthday party last week at a skate park. I first used an ego with a carto tank. It died on me so grabbed the vamo from the car. Didn't give any explanation to what I was using until one of a few smokers asked me what it was lol. I may have converted the kids uncle. Everyone was very cool with it and liked the way it smelled.

The juice was Smooth Criminal from Ahlusion.us

I've always been lucky enough to be able to stop and start smoking on a monthly basis, I feel like I never had an addiction but just wanted something to do on breaks/all the cool people used to be at the smoke shack. I was a 1 pack a week guy for a while then eventually got up to half a pack a day. I decided to quit 6 months ago for good and have only smoked 2 analogs since that day just because I was with someone who was smoking. They honestly tasted nasty both times and I believe I will never go back. I also dipped on and off and smoked pipe tobacco, but since starting to vape I have not used any other nic source. There's just no reason too, I really dig high end mech mods and talking about them with fellow vapers at work now and I see this a long lasting hobby. I still sit outside with people smoking sometime and I have not had the urge to bum a cig off anybody.

I was really concern about being tempted too. But the last cigs I had tasted so nasty that it hasn't bothered me yet. Now tomorrow may be different but for today, I'm good. I am probably one of those people who use to make a digusted face when they smelled my smoke. I honestly did not know that it smelled that bad. But I couldn't smell anything back then. Now... omg I swear I can smell the cat pass gas in another room.

I used 2 to 2 1/2 packs a day for over 40 years. I've found that my biggest problem in a crowd of smokers is that the smell of their smoke can interfere with the flavor of my vape. My biggest temptation is when I can't vape (or smoke for that matter) for two or three hours. It takes vapor longer to ease the craving.

That is really my only problem with vaping. When I have only a 10 min break, It is hard for me to load up on the nic quickly.

I don't mind being around other smokers. Actually my mind dances a little jig going,"I don't have to do that any more"

Oh yeah, I started being able to smell things strongly again, and I work at a gas station... One of my regular customers came in to buy three packs of smokes and I kept backing up because he smelled like a stale ashtray. Then for the first time in years I actually smelled a good smell, and I knew my allergies were not the thing to blame for my loss of my sense of smell.
