Tamer, there aren't enough threads to run an o ring and still seat the bottle. Before filling it, pinch the tube and squeeze the bottle which conforms the bottle to the cap, I usually do that a couple of times and then let go of the tube, squeeze the bottle and then pinch the tube and let go of the bottle to make sure we have an airtight seal.

After filling it, make sure the cap is threaded on well and the rim of the cap sits squarely on the shoulder of the bottle. I haven't had one leak yet.

Actually as strange as this may sound I did put an O ring on the bottle just beneath the threads and then close the cap. You can see the o ring outside the bottle but it worked.

I stand corrected :)

It can't be holding on by much, don't squonk too hard ;)

You're probably right. In any case I'll keep you posted. It's always easy when the bottle is full. Once you get past the mid point things can get messy :)

I'm fairly new to these and was having some problems initially. Not really leaking, but there seemed to be no real vacuum in the bottle, when I would press the bottle it felt like air was escaping instead of juice feeding up the tube. What I've started doing is upon filling the bottle and making sure the cap is seated and screwed on tight, tightly pinch the tube and give the bottle a hard squeeze. I guess this helps seat the threads? In any case, the squonk action is fantastic now, and no leaks!

I had mixed results with the soft bottles. When they worked I loved them, if they leaked I hated them. Usually they leaked from user error, not tightening the cap enough. I went back to the old bottles, I prefer to have the bottles pre-filled and just hot swap them anyways.

After using an O ring at the base of the threads it works fine..at least so far. I find them easier to use and they hold more juice...of course I understand the smaller bottles have their charm, especially if you like to switch juices more often.

It's all good my man! Yeah, I really did like the soft bottles a lot, and have kept them, I guess sometimes I'm lazy and just fill them and don't really make sure those caps were tight, then driving along in the car and !&*(@*&, juice all over my hand  I got used to carrying a couple extra bottles and a bagged battery in an Altoids tin. Being a creature of habit, I missed being able to just swap the empty for a full bottle on the fly.
