Solved my personal reo debate.

You guys remember before your first reo the debate. All the other things you could get with the money. Would a different mod better suit your needs, blah blah blah, the same crap Reo and Provari fans hear day in and day out on this forum. So I'd been having my own debate about a reo. I want one but question wether I'm responsible enough to be a daily mech user. I KNOW how to use a mech properly I just dislike pulling out my meter to check its bat life. I know it won't take long before you can tell with the drop off but anyways. A few days ago I decided to wait on a reo for now. This morning I woke up and glanced over the blemished mods trying to see how often blems get added. I've only seen mini's on there occasionally and a mini is not for me right now. Today I found a LP/SL for 125. I suspect because its got the kawasaki green contributed to the discount. But for 50 off I couldn't resist. Tossed in a lp rm.2 and now I'm sitting here hating the mailman again. Best of all soon I will be able to 'drip' and drive.

The Blemished REO's have some defect in the finish. It is an error and they are not really something Robert does on purpose! We can benefit with a lower price but must be o.k. with an imperfection. Robert does accept the REO back if not used.

We never know when blemished will pop on site. Checking often is the only way to catch some.

I think I know which Reo you're talking about, I noticed the discount too and I think that it's not due to the kawasaki green. I think that it's a LP Reo Grand in black anodized with a SL kawasaki green door (rather than the entire Reo being SL), which is why the price is less.

You are correct the body is a lp only the door is SL

I once felt the same as you. I had three other mechs, only used with kicks. I was hesitant to switch to a full mech, no kick, worrying about battery life, voltage drop etc. I finally ordered a Reo...I ordered another.....then another! They are all I use now, all I'll ever use, and I have tried A LOT! My point, you made an excellent choice!

Robert ships on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. So by the end of today you should be able to see it scanned in at the P.O.! I say you will have it day after tomorrow!

Congrats. Now that's a nice snag. All my REOs have been purchased as blems from Rob with the exception of 3. I did not see anything id consider a blem on any of them except on the clear anodized VV grand I can see 2 minor imperfections in the finish.

Blems are the way to go when you can find em

I kinda preferred a blem anyways. Part of Reo's appeal to me (who has not used one) is it seems ideal for going out and about. Nice and compact but I dislike taking my nice quality devices just anywhere because I don't want them dinged up. If its already got a ding I'm less likely to care about future dings.
