Howdy! :)
I have this passthru...

Vaprlife - 5-Volt Cigs - The VP-PT Kit

It's over a year old and runs like a dream still...can't tell you how much I love it...except....

It tends to burn thru atomizers rather quickly.

My question is...what is the best atomizer choice for this passthru that madvapes sells?

Thanks in advance!!!

At 5v I'd run a 2.8 or 3.0 ohm atty. If you try using anything LR it's probably getting too hot. You might be able to get away with using a standard atty but that's just too many watts in my opinion. A 3.0 ohm atty @ 5v will give you just over 8 watts, a 2.0 ohm atty will give you 12.5 watts, and a 2.5 ohm atty will run @ 10 watts.

I've found that 8 watts is about right and anything over that is likely to burn juice and it's likely to kill atty's if you're not careful.

You can use an Ohm's law calculator to see what each resistance rating will give you at different voltages.

i usually run thier boge 2.5ohms when i want heat and throat hit and like an lr keep it wet the thing just blows out vapor and flavor. but it can turn nasty quick. at the 2.5 with 5v running i was putting about 4 drops in every 6 or so pulls.
the 3,0 ohm area is a good idea if you want a slightly cooler vape. i would stick to boge the QC is good and i have yet to get one that just failed on me.
like wolfstone said the new dual coils work great at higher voltage for some reason lol. and if i could find a link there is a video of the dual coils with out the filler being just pushed to see when they fail and it was against a boge carto. the boge coil acctually popped and severed the connection with the dual coil it just stoped taking voltage. it didnt even get glowing hot.
