E-Cigs are virtually unheard of here, but tonight I did my tiny part to change that on the NSW south coast of Australia.
Tonight I also faced my biggest fear, & my major backslide in every other past quit attempt. I went out with my girlfriends to have a few drinks & see a band at our local pub (yes, it's friday nite here) I can say with absolute honesty that I did not crave, or even *think* about having a cigarette all night!
I had a lot of questions & a lot of positive feedback. Some people were just inquisitive, & some very serious & excited, & I handed out all the V4L cards I had, & wrote down web addies on coasters. I'm a newb to E-cigs, but have done a tonne of research & was able to give out a lot of facts.
I mostly went outside to the usual smoking area, but I did stealth vape inside a bit, then a lot more (as did my friend), & slightly more obviously -& out on the dancefloor lol - towards the end of the night.
Some of my more 'entrepeneur' friends & aquaintances were suggesting that I start importing & selling here, but (despite being unable to retail anything other than 0% nic here) it's not my aim to make any $$, I just want people to discover, as I have, a healthier alternative. Those people like myself, who *enjoy* the smoking habit, but want to quit for health or monetary reasons. I am so so thankful to the ECF member here who introduced me to vaping, & I have already had the same thing said to me tonight.
