Where could I get some cheap e fluid? And how long would a bottle last me? I've seen 5ml bottles and 15ml bottles.
jerw10, which unit you choose (lot's of folks use the 510's, and Cignot is the best!, MHO.) the main thing is to be well stocked with all the 'consumables', and that includes every part of the 510 or any other device, batteries, atomizers, and juice. They all get 'used up', and need replacement, so to avoid any further panic or having to go back for a cigarette while waiting, have lots of stuff on hand and at the ready.
This can get expensive, but think of it as "insurance", and heartily recommended! The cost will soon even out when you find your Comfort Zone. And so will be very rewarding in the end. (We all shopped like crazed finatics for awhile!) But above all avoid the Panic Button.
Then you can go shopping for your "ideal" e-cig! And, when you're ready, there's a great many folks that mix their own juices, go to the "DIY" Threads for a preview. It scared me at first too, but it's really a "cheap" way to go once you find your preferred flavors. I make my own for about $6 ~ 30ML bottle, using ECOpure VG/Nic and VG/plain, plus a tobacco flavor I love (Cignot, again!) but it means spending more at the time to stock up on the ingredients. I spent about $200 many months ago, still using the same order!) So you can pay a little all along the way or go for volume savings later on.
Don't worry about the cost of juice for right now, think more of your own worth when you can throw away the cigarettes! YOU are an investment well worth any amount of money.

Nthing the Joye510. Get mega batteries and they'll last as long as any other stock battery. (They don't fit in the 510 PCC.)

Buy a couple of passthroughs (or two -- one for work and one for home) and, whenever you're tethered to a computer, battery life won't matter anyway.

510 cartomizers for when you are driving (unless you like topping off a cart at 50mph in which case, please warn the rest of us which roads you use so we can avoid them.)

Chargers - while you're using your passthrough, you can charge your batteries. For less than $5 you can also get an AC/USB adapter. Make sure it has at least 1V output and you'll be able to use your passthrough anywhere with an outlet.

Throat hit, vapor production, etc. is more a factor of the liquid than the device.

I would reccommend the KR808D-1 from V4L. Great strong throat hit (TH), good flavor, and a nice vapor. You can get the black battery that has a blue light. I prefer the auto battery. You will get about 1-4 hours of vaping off of a charge depending on how much you vape. My reccommendation would be to get a total of 3 / 5 pack cartomizers and a 30ml bottle of juice. That should last you long enough to decide if you like vaping. I assure you you won't be disappointed. I quit analogs (regular cigarettes) in the first 2 days after a 1 1/2 pack a day habit for 45+ years. I love my KR808D-1.

I copied this great recommendation posted previously – This is what the wife and I started with and still use in different configurations, battery mods, PTB,

“I have to go with the 510's for what you are looking for in your PV. Manuel batteries are so much better. Get a PCC and the Pass through some e-juice and you will be happy with your purchase. I recommend using Cignot.com they got the black battery with blue LED and there shipping is so fast.”

Ok, so there was a little bit of a hold up in me ordering one but I am gonna do that this Wednesday, hopefully!

And I just wanted to make sure that I know what I am talking about now...

Ok, so, I've decided on the 510, I took everybody's recommendations into account and I just think the 510 would be my best bet. I'm going to order a PCC along with it and I've been thinking about getting the ones with mega batteries from MadVapes, and I'm kind of looking on a review on this website too.

I know that someone mentioned early that they have some good support and fast shipping and I'm just curious if anybody else has had any experience through them? I've also noticed that they have 50ml of 24mg USA mix e juice for 11 bucks and I just wanted to make sure they're not going to rip me off, lol.

Would post link, but post count doesn't allow me.

Is this a bad kit to buy, cause I've heard the SLB atomizers are rip offs. But what's making me want this kit is the fact that it comes with a bunch of chargers. But if anyone has a different website I should go through that comes with a PCC and a USB passthrough then I would really appreciate a link.

Joye is the company that designed the 510. Salebo designed the 801 and 901. Everybody pretty much makes copies of everyone else's models. That said some people only want the original some are happy with clones some hate the clones. Madvapes as a company is a good one. They get thing packaged up and shipped out within 2 days, often 1 of ordering. There are 2 different sizes of PCC for the 510. One is for regular batteries one for the mega batteries. Each will only work with the matching size battery.

Ok, I will probably order the one with SLB atomizers and then order a few back up ones that are made by Joye. And didn't someone mention earlier that the Joye 510 come with catomizers? Is this the case and I'm looking into it wrong? Or are there different models, one using catomizers, and the other that uses separate?

I got my 510 and juice from Cignot and I am very happy with all of it. The kit came with Joye carts and attys. I used 100% VG juice before I heard it gums up attys. I haven't had that problem though and I like it more than the mixed pg/vg juice I got later on.
Any 510 can use either cart/attys or cartomizers. Personally, I like the SLB attys better than the Joye ones. I got the Joye ones first, then got SLB's by accident from another vendor. I noticed they seemed to be heftier with a wider bridge. I've been vaping on one for 3 days straight and it seems to give a much better vape. Also, it doesn't have that disgusting primer taste for the first few puffs. Time will tell if it lasts any longer than a Joye, but so far so good.
510 cartos are a pretty new product. I haven't tried one yet, but have some on order. Meanwhile, I got some KD808-1 cartos and an adaptor. These work best of all and makes me think I might have been better off getting an 808 in the first place. They give a lot more vapor and TH, and I don't need to do all the mods and filling shenanigans like I have to do to keep a regular 510 cart going. There is an issue of burning filler however, but I understand all but the Greencig cartos are susceptible to that. I just make sure I keep it well filled. Even then, it's more convenient than messing with a cart/atty all the time.
I've only been vaping for a few weeks. Before that, I smoked 2-3 packs a day for over 35 years. Then, a couple years ago, I switched to rolling my own. The day I got my 510, i smoked 1 of my RYO cigs. The next day, I put it all in a closet, cleaned and stashed all my ash trays, and haven't looked back. I'm pretty much a chain vaper and probably get more nic. now than I did before, but I'll work on that later. It only took about a week before I started tasting things again. This is the best thing, besides getting a bicycle, I've done for my health in ages. My biggest fear now is that they'll be a ban and I'll have to go underground, make my own juice, and build my own attys.
Read everything you can here. I've spent the last week spending hours every night reading this stuff to get up to speed and it has been well worth it.
Good luck.

It sounds like you may not know that getting mega batteries has nothing to do with a kit?? You can get a kit with regular batteries to fit your PCC and then just get some mega batteries separately. Don't let the fact that a kit has mega batt's or not influence your decision, especially since you're getting a PCC and will need standard batts to fit that anyway. You can't have enough batteries, IMHO. I have seen mega batteries as low as $10 each, but I can't remember where, maybe rrvaporz. You'll need to shop around. Not sure if they're Joye brand or knockoffs though. I know Litecigusa has good prices on most pieces of hardware and the new 510 cartos, which not every place has yet.

After reading what you said about the 808 I'm considering getting that one. I remember looking into it awhile back after someone suggested it but I guess I got caught up on the hype of the 510. But you say besides that there's really no other con? What about battery life?

And I am doing my research as I want to make sure I make a good initial investment and make sure that I know what I'm doing and spend my money wisely before just throwing all my cash out there at some product that I'll wish I could get my money back.

And on a side note, how many atomizers should I buy along with my PV? I didn't know they typically only last a few weeks before quitting.

I just want to make sure I'm well stocked, I'll probably buy a DIY towards the last 50ml of fluid. (ordering 160ml along with my starter kit)

I'm not real worried about the mega batteries, I just thought it'd be a good initial investment along with the chargers that come with the kit, which includes...

2 510 Manual, Sealed Mega Batteries (280 mah) with Blue LED
2 SLB 510 Atomizers
5 Empty 510 Catridges
1 USB Charger
1 10 ml USA Mix(Marl) 24mg e-liquid.
1 AC to USB Adapter
1 Car to USB Adapter

And 100ml of usa mix fluid (which I'm assuming is marlboro) and is 24mg of nicotine and 60ml of fried apple.

Just wanted to chime in as a very satisfied MadVapes customer. :) I haven't ordered their juices (I use Tasty Vapor for that) but I've bought a bunch of their parts and some batteries from them for the battery box I built.

I'm sure you'll be happy with the 510, after vaping and posting here since January, I kinda wished I started with the 510 instead of the KR8, but with the newer parts that have been available for both models (both now have extended batteries, atomizers, and cartomizers) the only big difference is the subjective characteristics of feel/TH/vapor production preferences between the 510 atomizers/cartos and the KR8 cartos/901 atomizers.

Setup I recommended for my friends since they ordered together was...

KR808 PCC -7 bucks
901 to 510 Adapter
901 or 510 Atty of their choice(they got one of each though)
1x 901 manual batt(low profile button) and/or 1x KR808 Auto
Some Cartos
Bottle of Juice

They were all ordering from china together so it cost them about 30 bucks apiece. They really have a 3 type ecig starter kit for cheap. Only thing I would change would be AC or car charger for those that don't want usb.

Mad vapes is a very good company. Cignot is also a very good company. Both have excellent customer service and fast shipping. You cant go wrong with those companies.
The 510 is a great started kit. Nothing wrong with it except for a shorter battery life.
For a very long battery life and no need to buy a passthrough or charging case go for an Ego. The battery life is 8 to10 hours between charges on that one so you dont need the other things and they charge in about 1 1/2 hours,
It comes with 2 batteries at Cignot.com, is smaller then the diameter of a dime
But doesnt look like a cig really. Looks cool:)
If you go with the 510 from Mad vapes yes get the mega battery, it will last a bit longer then the regular 510 bat and get a manual battery no matter what.
Everyone goes through the want it to look like a cig, that lasts for about a week LOL
Then they just want to quit changing batteries every couple of hours and carrying tons of stuff with them.
You are going on a great journey. Enjoy the ride:)

=] I am very excited about ordering mine and can't wait to get it. I am also telling everybody I know who smokes about them to try to get to switch over and everybody's first response is "What's an e-cig?" =D

I'll still do some shopping around but gotta go to graduation in a few so I can't really do too much of that atm. But thank you for all of the information guys, this is a great forum with great people and I look forward to be on the other end of the helping end.
