Now I use for insulatoin a tubes removed from thermoresistant wires (taken from a halogen lamp wiring). I thought about a heat shrink, but I am afraid of a smell. What is your experience - is any heat shrink thermoresistant enough, or we need something special?

I'm not sure what I used on mine so to be sure I'll check the package and post it up. It has not given me any issue with smell or re-melt from heat at all.

***Update***

I used Viton heat shrink tubes. They are stable to 220 degrees C and are very chemically resistant :) The operating temps are very wide as well. from -35 C to +220 C.

Ok, anyone that's running a list put me on by default-- Turbo gets a permanent put on list pass...lol

I can't say that I'll have the flow when the time comes but put me on anyway ;)

Ok you are on my list, along with everyone else that was interested in Co-Op.

Dan is your list for ego type scubagens?

The first one will most likely be a universal that has the tapered bottom. Not Ego specific but would work on an Ego, I am going this route as they would be cheaper per unit (approx $20.00). The Co-OP member would recieve the main body and top cap only, it would be up to them to add the 510 adapter, poly tubing, o-rings and wiring. This is provided I get enough interest, since I would start the order with a min of 100 bodys and caps (approx $2000.00). The material would be stainless steel, and would take a lead time of 30 days once the order is put in.

Hope that helps.
Dan

I'll take 2 for sure. Looks like there is alot of interest in this one. I have a couple of simple questions too. What size tubing is used for it? How does she look on the provari?

Maybe a ScubaGen v3 signup post should be put up to keep it orderly :)

poland, and the brassy lands of google
Separate sign up THREAD would be good. Tubing sizes here:

7/8 OD and 3/4 ID poly tubing (Lexan), all the internal pieces are lathed to .73" and the o-ring grooves are then lathed to .64". I am using 3/4" x 1/16" FDA approved o-rings from MCMaster-Carr. The air channel down the center is a .2" (13/64") hole.

I'm pretty sure Dan showed it on a provari, looks great and ideal for that.
