Separate sign up THREAD would be good. Tubing sizes here:

I'm pretty sure Dan showed it on a provari, looks great and ideal for that.

How did I miss all that? Thanks for re-posting... must be losing some storage space in this old brain of mine, lol :)

I'll take 2 for sure. Looks like there is alot of interest in this one. I have a couple of simple questions too. What size tubing is used for it? How does she look on the provari?

Maybe a ScubaGen v3 signup post should be put up to keep it orderly :)

Oops, I did mean thread, lol, but typed post. My bad!

Crikey… what is going on here. I’ve fallen behind on my lurking (don’t ever assign a 4 page research paper to middle schoolers) and I’m seeing the scubagen, then it’s turned upside down, then it’s got a candy cane hook, then it’s back to right side up and scubagen again… holy carps, now you’re mak’n a list.

Dan… put me on the list for 1 (and if the list is short the hundred, let me know and I’ll rob the cookie jar).

Mercy, you fellas have been busy – kudos to all those phenomenal minds and especially for those ideas still falling out of your head Dan.

....boogar, just caught the one on tubing – just got my last order from McMaster today and t’werent the right size – man, I hate thier shipping charges! Here we go again.

Which post # is the Scubagen V1? Romping around and even google is failing me.

edit: or is it V3 I should be looking for?

v1 was the Delrin prototype, v2 was a solid one piece poly tube with cat 5 connectors, v3 is the two piece poly tube with the spring connectors. I have no idea what post they were LOL. I would be after the v3 personally. Like the cat5 connectors, but with nichrome they loose contact sometimes do to expansion.

Yes I will start a Scubagen3 Co-Op post with the list of names I have and quantities. Here is what I have so far:

Add me for 2 dan. Just curious as to the posts.. Will they be screw in posts? Threaded small screws with a washer and spring would do it?

I will state it again, the Co-Op persons (I.e. you an everyone that joins in) Will recieve the main body and top cap, it will be your responsibility to supply the poly tubing, atty connector, o-rings, and electrical connectors and wiring. The top has 5 holes in it, two are not drilled all the way through, Theses are for mounting the electrical connectors. They will be 1/8" holes, so they can be threaded or you can use inserts. The other two holes are also 1/8" and go all the way through, theses are for the SS wick. The last hole is 1/16" and it is for filling the genni. I will be the facilitaor with getting the designs for the pieces to be made completed and placing the order with the company producing them. Once they come in I will sort them and box them and I will notify each person that they are in. Then I will ship you two pieces per order.
That help?
Dan

Ok....finally got everything done and back together. Vaping like a champ now! :vapor: Keep in mind, I didnt have more than basic tools and my hands to do all of this. So it isnt as nice as some, but it works none the less.

Started off by cutting the switch housing off, then shaping the edges down to the size of the tube.

Then I drilled out a hole for the atty connector off of a dead carto i had. Had to drill the hole smaller, then use the dremel to grind it to size. still ended up a little too big, but JB weld worked great for holding it in tight. Soldered the silver wires to the connector, then filled the cavity with JB Weld.

After letting the puddy cure for a couple of hours (only needs one, but i wanted to make sure it was safe. Fumes during curing time are harmful, but drinking water safe after), put everything back together and tested it out before adding the juice.

As of right now, it is working and working great. Fires every time now, and no more concern about leaks. All that is left to to is mess with the mesh/wire configuration to get it just right, then i will be good to go....at least until the coop gets started!

Ok I am starting a new thread, I hope this is not outside of the rules of the board as I am not going to make any profit on this venture. I will post the Concept and walk through of how each step of the process will happen. And post the names and quantities for each person that has shown an interest so far.
So be looking for it.

Thanks for doing this Dan, I could take some more if it came down to that, I'm sure some one will want one after the fact and they, them, can just pay me back, all I really want is the five for my wife, son daughter and me but if I had to get more to complete the order I would let them go at cost. Maybe I'll get to speak with you at Vapestock, I'm planning on being there Sat.
