I have a few more questions everyone.

First, I would just like to say that I have been analog free for 13 days, woo hoo. Ok, I have a lavatube with a tank, 1 hole cartomizers, 2 attys and a fee cartridges. I was using the tank with a 3 hole cartridge and I was loving it. Unfortunately it got old within a week and I had to switch to the 1 hole cartridges. The problem I am having is that they are flooding and making a gurgling sound. From what I am hearing and reading that's not right. So for he time being I am.using the attys and cartridges. I am not sure if I am using them right though. I filled it up and all. When I think it is getting low I put 2 or 3 drops into the cartridge and start vaping. Is this correct or should I drop them on the atty itself. Also I have a connect or something and should I use it with the attys or is it for something else.

Thanks.

It sounds like maybe the one with the ONE hole was maybe punched in too far and is flooding the atty instead of just filling up the filler in the cartomizer (not cartridge).

FYI, so no one else does a head slap, the cartridge is part of a 2 part system, you attach it to an atty that is made for the cartridges. A cartomizer is the atty with the filler all in one. Cartridges aren't generally used anymore since they have come up with better systems (the cartomizer being one).

A vivi nova or clearomizer are the newer in the market, and are all in one tank type systems that use wick and replaceable heads. They are wildly popular these days for the juice deliver.

I use my tanks with cartos and the clearos. But gave up on the carts since they leak too much.

In regards to your dripping question, what you described is generally the method for dripping directly on the atty. Cartridges, you would saturate and use until they dry up (similar to a cartomizer). Use them up if they already have juice, but never look back. They are, as you will find, not a good system.

The juices I have are 80/20 and 75/25. I thought I was flooding it. I hardly had no problems with the 3 hole cartridge. I will check out the vivi nova. I will have to get it next month, already at the limit that I wanted to spend. What about the cartridges? Am.I doing it right?

Welcome to ECF if I haven't said so to you and congrats on the 13 days!

Now...

Atomizers are OK. In fact, I used them for 2 years as a dedicated dripper. So don't believe everything that you have heard about cartos being "the only way". They are not. I hate cartos (at least the ones with filler. The CE2's and such are not bad because they don't have filler. They have wicking problems though;) ). All cartos taste like crap to me (I can taste the filler in em).

The cartridges for the atomizers never did work well. You can research alternatives like "PTB mod" (Pyramid Tea Bag modification --- Basically using nylon mesh rather than the filler material in the carts) or "Blue Foam". Those terms will get you some old threads on the topic. Mostly, you're correct in that once the filler in the cart is wet, you vape a bit and add 2 drops (since that's all it will hold now) and vape a bit.

Dripping is similar. But it works better. With dripping you:

A) Pull the filler out of the cartridge. You may also trim a mm or two off the end to keep the plastic short. Trim the part that sits down on the bridge of the atomizer. Don't trim off the round part that goes into the atty. Just the flattened part. You don't need it. You don't need the filler either.

You can also get a DRIP TIP. They are hollow tubes with a hole in the center. You can do the next step without having to remove the plastic cart since the drip tip has a hole that you drip through.

B) Blow out the atomizer to make sure it's clean of primer if it's new or needs cleaning.
C) (Remove cart) Drip 4 drips right onto the bridge of the atomizer. (Put the cart back on) vape about 10 puffs. (Remoe) Drip 3 drops into atty (Replace), vape 10 puffs, 3 drops, 10 puffs, 3 drops, 10 puffs.......

Best taste. Nothing to malfunction. Labor intensive. Lots of people still do it.

I've dripped for over 2 years. Worked great with no hassle. Best flavor. Atomizers last over a month or two. No malfunctions. More work.

Blow the atomizer out twice a day to get rid of "gunk". Helps keep em clean and avoid cleaning (a completely separate topic). Re-prime with 4 drops rather than 3.

You'll learn to tell when the taste changes, starts to taste "dry" and needs more drops dripped. Too many drips and it will flood (gurgle).

--- OK --- End of atomizer section.

You have 2 atomizers that you now know how to use if the other stuff fails. They may last you two months or more (depends on quality, make/model, voltage/ohms, device...)

Also try some other cartos and/or a tank like the vivi nova when you get room in the monthly budget. What works for one person doesn't always work for another. It's a trial and error thing. See/read reviews.

The biggest savings is to DIY your own e-juice. But that's a different topic. There are plenty of great e-juice vendors here on ECF too. And lots of prices. Also there's an international section that may have info for local vendors for you:

I will definitely try the viva nova. I watched the link and I will try it like that. Now that I am dripping into the cartridge I am not using as much juice as with the tank. Well it seems like it already had it since the 5th and I already went through 4 10ml bottles. I think I am just trying to keep tue nicotine levels up so I don't go back to analogs. We will see how long this bottle last me.
