I've used 56 of the Myblu batteries from the $1 promotion and wanted to update my review (which is closed to further replies)

Juul vs myblu

Although I have used 56 of the batteries, I have not yet used that many of the pods... I guess I've used half as many pods. I've been testing the batteries because I've noticed some difference in the performance. 27 out of 56 of the batteries work extremely well. Very enjoyable to use those batteries.

But the other 29 were not as good... Most of those were still usable but the auto draw would sometimes cut off. 6 had problems with the autodraw that were so bad that they were not really usable. Only 1 was completely non functioning --the LED flashes and no vapor is produced.

Can't say I gave them a very fair shake, at the time. Planning on a re-visit. I did like the weight and the vape was nice. Not sure if I can deal with any further gurgling- any tips?

Is the gurgling a flooded coil or flooding in between the clear tank and black mouth piece?

I don't use mine stock. I take them completely apart and dump the liquid. The pods are sometimes a leaky mess when new. But they don't usually leak when I reassemble them. To make sure that the coil doesn't flood, I remove the clear silicone part from the chimney and seal the coil before I put the deck back inside the tank. Otherwise it might not seat correctly and you'll get flooding.

If you are talking about spit back, then the key is not drawing too hard. And if there is liquid trapped in between the tank and the black mouth piece, you need to pop off the mouthpiece and clean it. It won't go away until you clean it. Take out the silicone part that's between the tank and the mouth piece and clean it too.

Hope that helps.

The thing that I really like is that I can take the pods completely apart. I can even replace the coil and cotton. I also like the 380mah battery capacity, the 3 color LED indicator and the quick 20 minute charge.

For comparison, the Smok Infinix has a more responsive draw but a smaller battery and essentially no battery status indicator --it blinks just before it dies. Also the Infinix pods take more effort to disassemble. I paid $16 for the Infinix and $3 per Infinix pod. The Myblu was $1 for battery and pod... actually 90 cents shipped is what I paid since I used a coupon. There was a lot of variation in the Myblu batteries and some were duds but they have a lifetime warranty.

I had 5 of them. Two were duds so that leaves 3. I have one unopened. Out of the 2 I have - I did the same as you as far dumping out what was in there. And like you noticed the pods that came with them all were leaky. Once I refilled with my juice it was fine.

I like the compact size. For me it is more of a here and there type of thing.

One of the myblu I left out by my desk. Probably been here a few months with the pod on it. Just put it on my charger and it looks like the battery is totally dead. It is flashing red 3 times slow - blue 5 times fast. Tried to look on the site but it does not address it so another one bites the dust. So now I have 2 away - one completely new and one just the battery portion.

I’m still using mine. Like you, I definitely had some dud batteries, but I had so many kits that it was easy to toss out the bad ones. I like the vape from these a lot, the batteries last a decent amount of time for the overall size, and I love the weight and feel of it. Not every battery performs perfectly at all times, but I always have several more nearby. And to be honest, I spent so little with the $1 promotions that it’s probably still my wisest/most cost effective vaping purchase.

How did you pull off getting so many? I bought one and was unable to get anymore at the promotional price. I did pick up a couple at gas stations but online I was only able to order one with the promotion.

I had no real issues with the ones that I used. They seemed pretty durable, I had one fall about 10ft to the ground off of a roof and it continued to function. Decent little devices but I refuse to buy them at the current price. I now have one left out of about four, the others where seemingly carried off by people around my house with sticky hands. Sadly my one remaining my.blu has issues with recognizing the pod is there.

Realistically it still did better than a lot of pod systems. I can't get a smok novo to last me more than 2 months before it develops auto fire issues and my first sourin drop lasted about 3 months before one of the connector pins popped out.

My local gas station told me that next month sometime that they are having another promo. From what I understand is that the kit will come with 1 battery, and 2 pods of new intense flavors. He said they will have a kit that will come with new regular tobacco intense pods and one that comes with mint intense pods. He said the kit was going to be 9.99. Not bad for a kit and 2 pods.

Right now, gas stations in my area have a deal where you can get the $1 kit again, but you have to buy the intense pods for 9.99, so 10.99 all together.

When I originally purchased all my $1 kits, there was no limit at Walgreens and most gas stations, so I just bought 5 kits every time I stopped anywhere like that. It was super easy to stockpile. There were also several online shops that didn’t limit purchases, one guy on ECF ordered like 50 at a time.
