When I was getting my first set up at the local B and M I asked the people that were working there if they had ever been pulled over for their mods looking suspicious. One guy said he had been pulled over three times and twice they actually searched his car!! Is that even legal?? The cop claimed he smelled some of that "funny tobacco" and the guy picked up his mod and blew a vape at the cop... and the cop still insisted it was the other stuff. Another of the guys that works there said he was pulled over once but didn't have a hard time after explaining what it was. Crazy I tell you.. This is a moderately sized community (over 60,000), with 4 vape shops and 3 universities!! Ignorance is definitely rampant here!! I am very careful about vaping in my car because of what I heard. I am sure with time vaping will become a more socially acceptable practice, but until that happens I agree that educating those who are curious will spread the knowledge and hopefully convert more smokers.

I was at the beach yesterday with my little girls and felt a little weird about vaping with all the families around.. silly really but then again not so much. I got a couple of funny looks from some moms.. but then a guy came over and wanted to know if it was okay for him to ask me about the whole process. He, and the four other adults with him, were all smokers and want to quit. They are going to the B and M store tomorrow to get their first set up!! I love being able to help others in their journey, and I certainly I don't want our rights to vape to be taken away by the ignorant.

Ive always wondered what people must think when they see people with huge mods, like a vamo, outside...walking around. I walk around normally with a ego clone 650 and a T3S or my protank 2 on a lanyard. Only a few fellow vapers have stopped and asked about my setup, since its really nice and small.

However, i do know people who use them for illegal substances and the cops know that. They probably will start looking more into whats inside the tank. I think those people are going to ruin it for the rest of us who enjoy vaping normal juices.

I agree respectful public vaping as a public-education tool makes sense. FWIW, I was in an upscale Phoenix seafood restuarant with familly recently just after becoming a vaper. Showed the waitress my clearo/eGo setup and asked: "Okay if I use this?" Without batting an eye she said "sure" and went on about her business. No grief from her, no grief from other patrons (and the place was packed).

I haven't had this happen yet. I was thinking I hadn't been to San Francisco since I started, but then I remembered I had driven through several times, and I always cape when I drive. I don't make my own juice, so I leave it in the vendor bottles, and I also keep business cards from the stores I purchase from in the little case I carry all my supplies in. I just ordered some ECF cards the other day, so I will probably add a few of those into my case, as well.

I wonder if that is why the same sheriff kept passing me while I was walking. They even pulled over in the center lane and watched me pass. I thought they were concerned because I was walking in the hot part of the day and they thought I was crazy. hmmmmm? Doesn't matter. I would be respectful but only cause I have 5 backups at home. They wouldn't take me alive if it was my only toot. View attachment 230761

I would have waved them over and shot the breeze explaining what I'm doing. Might save a hassle in the future!
