Gear acquisition syndrome.

For some reason I feel like I need a black provari mini with a blue led screen.

I love my MVP, but the size of the mini is honestly the most tempting aspect. I can just see my cirrus tank perched on top looking sexy.

Logic tells me the actual part where I push the button and inhale the vapor won't be any different between the 2 devices. Is this true? (Assuming running the same carto at the same voltage).

I hate to start another provari thread, but I'm in serious need of someone talking some sense into me.

I love my MVP. It was my first true APV. That said, I got a Vamo 3 next and they ARE different. I get more power from the Vamo. I figured out I can use my MVP for some flavors and they are the same as the Vamo, but many taste different on the Vamo because its power profile is stronger. It can push the coils better.

I recommend setting yourself up with a Vape budget and then you can add pieces and keep spending under control. I will also be the first to admit I am a hypocrit and tend to say "ooooh shiney" and next thing you know I am waiting for a tracking number. But budgets are useful tools and one should always remember ...

Day 2 with my provari mini and my skepticism is slowly fading away. The hype is legit. The vape is solid and the device, coupled with a cirrus tank, is as happy as I'll ever be aside from my sub ohm coils and mechanicals.

If you want to see some intense cases of G.A.S., head on over to the Fasttech thread, lol
Far be it from me to discourage you (see my sig)
I have just given up and given into my G.A.S...I figure as long as I can pay my bills and meet other obligations, all else goes to vapey stuff.
Pretty much every last remaining dime, lol

ETA: When I first read the thread title I was like "whoa, gastrointestinal issues from vaping? Whaaa" lol

  When I first clicked on "read this thread," I was all set to recommend Gas-X."

Sadly, there is no such easy fix for the "other" G.A.S., aka shinyitis. And some things just don't need fixing! Vape on! :vapor:

Just be glad you guys aren't guitarists....that's usually where I see G.A.S. referred to the most. When you have a GAS-attack as a guitarist, you end up spending hundreds or even thousands of dollars for ONE piece of equipment.

See my profile on the gibson forum, you will know how I know what G.A.S. is! lol

I knew you had to be a guitarist! Fortunately for me, I've always been pretty good at managing my GAS, and my wife makes sure I keep it in check. As I get older, I find I don't need as much stuff.

As far as beautiful equipment, you should see some of the beat-up 50-year old gear that people will pay $10,000+ for. Some of it looks like garage sale stuff, but is eminently collectible. Sometimes even more so because of the age-marks and battle-scars.

I have 2 ProVaris, they are worth the money. Then you need something to top it with, ProRings (from both the US and Greece), Tatroe Bases - the list of ProVari bling is endless. I am currently awaiting a Cingulum Compleo from Germany. And if brass doesn't look good with what I have, I will need a black ProVari. Ok, I might be a wee little bit addicted to buying stuff. :p

My husband has an MVP. I like it, it's a good vape. He bought an IBTanked for it. No bling involved there.

So, it becomes a matter of what you really want and what you can afford.

I believe in two things:

1. Instant gratification
2. All the vaping gear I buy is still cheaper than cigarettes

These two rationalizations allow me to buy anything I want.

"You sir, should be a spiritual leader." - the guy who will pay as much for next day shipping as the item costs

I am one of those guys who loves aged nitrocellulose, checking, chips, etc. I don't wipe my alpine white LP down anymore, no matter how bad i sweat all over it, in hopes that it will turn yellow faster.

paying this much for a VOS guitar is a bit insane though, if only the originals were not approaching the million dollar mark...
