I get what the OP's saying. For me, though, a lot of the fun is searching & hunting for the perfect thing that's just want I want. For a while it was the perfect cigalike. Then I found one I liked & it became the perfect tank/clearomizer for my ego. Then it became a nice looking RBA dripper for my ego. And now I'm starting to get into gennies and I'm interested in getting a simple small mod & a vv/vw device. I'm also interested in carto tanks but I hate cartos so the Diver is looking really appealing.

I'm not really into having the best or newest device. But I do enjoy the hunt & discovery of something that will make my collection that much cooler (cooler to me that is. I don't think anyone else could care less lol).

I do hate wasting money though so it really irritates me to get something & then discover I hate it. I think that's one of the things that makes ecigs harder than other things in that we are the testers really & until we try it we just don't know if it's good or not.

So I do really appreciate all the G.A.S. vapers, especially within this forum cuz you all are doing a lot of the testing for me thus making it easier for me to find exactly what I want without getting what I don't want.

I'm definitely blue collar. Real happy with my eGo 1100mah batteries and CE4+s. I am thinking seriously about getting an eGo twist sometime soon and some sort of Pyrex tank like a Kanger or a Smok Tech ARO. I really like the way my clearomizers are working for me now but to have something long lasting and not having to worry what kind of juice you put in it would be really nice. Also there are some citrus flavors I like but that's a no-no with what I'm using atm. I think an eGo twist and some Pyrex tanks is likely as far as I'm gonna take it though.

If you are familiar with tropes on other boards, you are already ahead of the curve.

Everyone's journey is different, but everyone eventually reaches a spot where they are confident in what they are doing. Nobody stays a noob forever.

Mod envy. Plume envy. Just find something that satisfies you. The people using sub-ohm attys and blowing plumes of vapor... Is that what you really want? A new dragon to chase? If so, go for it. If what you have works, be happy in that fact.

I hear you loud and clear on that one. I love Photography and did the same thing - forums. Had to have better gear. Now my credit cards are kicking my a**. I've reached the end of the road with it tho, and am perfectly happy now, but it took a lot of money. Still smarting from that I was more careful with e-cigs. Now I can sit back and enjoy new juices since the equipment part is handled. After all, there's nothing wrong with any setup as long as its replacing cigs for you.

I have essentially 3 "hobbies". The first two are also the business' I've been in for over 40 years... and vaping. Vaping is by far the least costly - even if I spent $5000 a year, it'd still be a drop in the bucket of the other two, so where I go with and how much I spend on vaping is... irrelevant. As long as I don't smoke, the "value" of vaping is priceless.

Looking at your screen name I know what one of your other hobbies are and, you are so right that 5k is a drop in the bucket when it comes to that hobby I have the same addiction. But Josie if your happy with what you got, and it keeps you off stinkies then thats all that matters.
