If you are getting tired of bummer coils I'd reccomend a terminator rebuildable!
You may ask " why do I want a rebuildable, I just said I hate dealing with coils"! Well, I'll tell you. Terminator coils are pretty easy to build (after a little learning curve), once they're built its pretty stable (read: consistent vape), I dry burn mine once every week or two and rebuild every month or two (that's two months on a coil).
All that equals the least fiddily and longest lasting atomizer I've ever used. And it vapes awesome!

So is 'terminator' a brand name or is it a special type of rebuildable? I'm skeptical about coils being easy to build; not at my age anymore anyway. Need good eyes, and figures that can do fine work; like a watchmaker. Most of us out here can handle a hammer or screwdriver, but dealing with 1 inch long, 30 guage thin wire and trying to wrap that on a pin ... guess it can be done if you got stuff set up someplace with little clamps to hold things and using like long nosed pliers to hold items, but its not the sort of thing you can just do with your bare fatfingered hands.

Maybe it's the resistance you are running?

Personally I usually run the 2.5 ohm heads in my pro-tanks either on my beater ProVari or Vamo 5. I buy my heads from Discount Vapers because they always have stock, and they do carry different resistances, plus you get an automatic 5% discount if you are a repeat customer.
Kanger ProTank & Evod Coil Replacement - 5 Pack 2.5 ohms

If I'm using a mech mod, I'll run a 1.8ohm, unless I have a Kick in it, but I rarely leave the house with my mechs.

Occasionally (maybe 3-4 times) I have gotten a dud ProTank head, but otherwise they have always been consistent in the resistance.

I generally get 2 weeks or so from each coil, and I am not gentle with my daily carry gear, but I always carry a spare just in case.

I've tried RBA drippers, Genesis atomizers, even a Penelope and a Terminator-C. I hated rebuilding, and I especially hated the taste associated with longer silica wicks needed in the Penelope or Terminator-C. I sold the Penny on the Classifieds and trashed the Terminator-C and drippers.

That being said, lots of people love them, and YMMV. I just prefer a simple solution to carry to work, and for me that's a ProTank, a bottle of juice, a Vamo or Provari, an extra battery, and an extra ProTank head.

I have posted before that the only crappy thing about vaping for me is dealing with coils (I use ProTanks for all my vaping).
Coils are finicky and cannot be trusted. You can be vaping perfectly one minute, and the next, it could be vaping hell just because the coil decided to crap out on you, get clogged, get dry, get flooded, etc.

Someone needs to invent a tank that is wire/wick free. Where it has a glass chamber, and then the "coil" part on the bottom is a tiny, itsy bitsy metallic chamber that holds e-liquid to be heated. Where all parts are permanent, and can be cleaned if you need to freshen things up.

One can dream.....

heat increases resistance if you heat a conductor over and over its resistance will increase permanently.
Right now the wicks become gunked up before you will notice any change in the resistance of the wire. You could build a simple tea kettle like dripper with out much trouble but nothing lasts forever not to mention that performance would lack severely

Ruyan never released an ultrasonic. The technology is too fragile and too expensive for mass production. Read through this thread:

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...ssion/2846-ruyan-v8-different-technology.html

Actually it was released, just not in the US. What you did is what i hoped the OP would do - looked into it and realized the coils may not be perfect but aren't the worst possible way to get a vape.

Since you got that one I'll now throw out Philip Morris is experimenting with another that wouldn't use a coil.

How about a regular ol' little dripping atty? Like a Joye 510/901? Or the HH357 if you want to invest a few more $$? The Joye's are cheap, pretty much hassle-free, and very easy to use and keep up.

BTW... to the OP... Hey in Lex! I'm down in Berea! If you haven't been there, you should check out the AltSmoke store on Tiverton way... really good people there. Maybe they could point you in a direction to keep the frustration levels dowm! :)
