Why is there no such thing as an automatic mod??? Why is there no Auto Riva,Auto MR Puffer,Auto Wetbox,Auto Chuck....whatever!!! I just don't get it....
I think it's a legitamet question....my husband drives a truck....he wants something he doesn't have to fool around with, doesn't have to carry a pocket full of batteries....and doesn't have to take his hand off the shifter to use.

I'm posting this here because I trust you modder guys to answer my question realisticly. Your the ones who would know and tell the truth in my opinion. Right now the best there is for an auto battery is the KR8 XL at 350 mah. I understand the switch is expensive.....but so what...I'ld pay twice what I paid for my Riva or Mr Puffer to give my hubby what he's asking for.

????????????

simply once you go past the eGo/riva size (which there are auto batteries for) you're getting into the bigger and heavier mods...

I think the thought process is...that you're not going to dangle something like a chuck between your teeth/lips...that you're going to support it with your hand...and if you do that well your hand is already there so a manual button is no big deal.. not to mention the juicebox style mods well you have to squeeze the bottle anyway..so same thing...not to mention in mods an auto function well those auto switches can be downright faulty expecially if you drop or get juice in them...so to put em on a mod I think manufacturers would spend as much time in repairs as in building the mods to begin with..

I mean can you imagine Jeff's turn around time in putting out new chucks if all of a sudden he's got a bunch of autos he's gotta fix because some one dropped it or got juice in it...it'd be hell

Cisco once made a auto screwdriver mod. The challenge is all in the switch and there just isn't a good supplier for auto switches.
Mods are mostly about battery capacity and large capacity batteries make hands free vaping uncomfortable. Once you step away from hands free vaping, auto switches have little need as a tiny tact switch take no effort to push.

I can only think of one mod that might work in the situation you described.
Someone posted a contraption for vaping while on a bike. The switch strapped to his hand so that he could press it without taking his hand off. Wire ran up his arm and to a battery pack strapped to his side from what I remember.

Auto egos may be your best bet, but personally I couldn't hold an ego in my mouth hands free.

If you find a supplier for auto switches please post it and maybe someone will give it a try.

Glad you found that Sci. I couldn't remember what it was called.
Another thought, Don't they still make an auto passthrough?

Yes, they do. Only thing about automatic switches & driving, some of the switches are very sensitive & will fire at random(strong wind or loud noise). I ran into a rainstorm while vaping a 401 once & that thing looked like a strobe light.:)

This should be good for driving - http://www.litecigusa.net/product_p/hellopass.htm. It's not an automatic, but you wouldn't have to worry about swapping batteries all the time. You could plug it into a car adapter while driving. When you stop, unplug it & the battery is charged. You can vape while it's charging.

Thank you one and all for the great answers....and thank you drozd for the tip on V4L batteries! I would have bought some new ones but not if they will be using a sound activated switch.

To answer the questions....my husband wears a lanyard and basicly uses the e-cig like a pacifier...it's hanging out of his mouth constantly....he wont' use a PT because he complains about the wire getting in the way....believe me...I'm not defending him...he's a pain in the ........but if I can find him what he wants hopefully that will be the end of the big search. He loves my Riva (which is btw why I got a pink one :) ) but wishes it was auto...well thank you!!!! Now I know they make them....I'll give one a try...with the new mega carts that should make him happy. Thanks again everyone!

THANK YOU again,Drozd! I tried asking on the V4L forum but no one will answer me. My husband drives a truck...no way can he deal with a sound activated battery since he wears his e-cig in a lanyard. I was just getting ready to place a battery order from V4L....I'll be buying from Vapors Etc now if anyone is interested. Good 'ol fashion Kanger auto KR8's Xl 350mah with a 10 second cutoff. KR8/510 adapter and some 510 cartos. That's what the hubby wants...that's what he'll get :) Anything so he keeps his hands off my Smoke Stiks. :p

susie that mod is awesome!!! Nice having that kind of talent around...wish I was that talented! All I can do is whine about it LOL....:D

lorikay, LOL, about your hubby!

As far as me being lucky to have him, I'm in total agreement...and not just for e-cigs :)

I haven't a clue how to do it, but for those who know, apparently it's easy! I don't think it took him an hour to make mine after my **hint hint**
Thanks for the response!
