Something for The Puck fans

Box is from Deal Extreme and holds 4 AAA batts. It's got some possibilites for those who want to use the NiMH batteries, but want a more pocket friendly shape. Here's a few pics of the first one. There are pretty cheap so I bought a few; this one is "hack it up and learn what's possible". lol

Learned a lot about what can and cannot be done. The case itself is much harder than the batt boxes we use and there's that big dropoff under load; but it is what it is.

Nice!! Do you have a picture of internals of this battery box? Is it possible to use as a passthough, since it has a mini USB plug? The key with the 4 aaa mods is finding the right battery box...

Nice find. Looks really cool and more comfortable to hold than 2 4AAA boxes glued together. I'm with wavefanatic, what does the inside look like?

The trick is to get rid of the USB (5v Out) and keep the USB Mini (5v In) operational for charging. There's no room for the batt connector and button so the USB Out has to go. Besides, the output is limited to 400mah so it doesn't meet our requirements anyway. However, the electronics and circuit boards are above my pay scale so it will have to be some electronics guru to come up with a plan.
